Bring Vegfest to Edmonton!

Ottawa is hosting Vegfest on May 30th this year.. I wish we had that event Edmonton!! It would be so great! I wonder what it would take to organize.

Here are few exhibitors I'd like to see there:
Padmanadi
Cafe Mosaics
Planet Organic
Edmonton Humaine Society
Old Strathcona Farmers' Market

Any Edmontonian's agree with me? If so which vendors/speakers would YOU like to see there?

I LOVE Padmanadi's and the Loma House Vegetarian Express.

I would love to have hear Colleen Patrick-Goudreau from The Compassionate Cooks come to speak. I know its a dream but that would rock

I know this was posted two years ago but I was wondering if you have any new information about any vegan events that will be hosted in Edmonton?

Vegans and Vegetarians of Alberta host a number of events in Edmonton.. like potlucks, veg speed dating, cook-offs, movie screenings. Check out their website here: www.vofa.ca/event

I believe they will be having a Veg Fest this summer too. They had a smaller event last year with a few food vendors, a bbq and a book sale. One of their coordinators told me they might be advertising the event on the back of buses this year.. so look out for that too!
