Inauguration
Am I wrong, or are there people dressed as redcoats playing a song that makes fun of americans at the presidential inauguration???? That's ridiculous! Now THAT'S unpatriotic, not protesting a dumb war.
Also, I loved that fact that there are more people protesting than there are people there for support!
Also, I love that the limos look like hearses, symbolizing, to me, the death of democracy moving towards the white house.
I was reading Bush's inaugaration speech on CCN while at the gym (close-captioned) and he was saying some crap about how the country needs to eliminate racisim and bigotry to promote liberty then the cameras pan the thousands who were there in the official seats and everyone was white except for Condee, Colin and 2 other African-Americans. That's it.
I have been trying to watch it, but my students whine about it and want me to turn on BET.
