Thread: UK: Best falafel mix?

    Default UK: Best falafel mix?

I've tried two- Orgran and Al Fez. The latter I tried years ago and it was nice, then I didn't see it for a while, then when I finally found it, it must have been a new recipe as it didn't taste as nice.

Both Orgran and the (new) Al Fez mixes taste kinda bicarbonate-of-soda-ry.

Can anyone recommend a REALLY good one? There's a company called Hoxton Beach who make the best falafel wraps- the falafel is kind of harder and crispy/breadcrumby on the outside. I would love a falafel mix that resembles theirs

I thought the ASDA one was pretty good, but I haven't tried any other mixes so the only thing I had to compare with was ready made falafels (dry and not very nice) and Maoz.
"Danger" could be my middle name … but it's "John"
