    Default Too sweet cream cheese

I normally buy Tofutti cream cheese but a few weeks ago, I decided to buy another brand called Yoso. I think they are an Eastern Canadian thing.

Their cream cheese is just way too sweet. There's no salt added and only a touch of sugar, but with the lack of saltiness, the sweetness has become over powering.

Any tips on making it less sweet and more like regular vegan cream cheese? My tub is just about to go off, so I need to use it up before it does.

Oh, and I did try adding salt but it didn't work. It just didn't have that kick or proper savoury-ness?

    Thanks!
    Peace, love, and happiness.

There's a cream cheese here called pure that's got the same problem. It does make it ideal for cheesecake though so try that.

Otherwise you could try mixing in crushed garlic and herbs.
