    Default Badger appeal costs auction

Pembrokeshire Against the Cull and the Wildlife Trust are holding an auction of artworks donated by local artists, gifts, antiques, books and holidays. Proceeds will go to the Badger Trust appeal legal costs fund. Last month, the Badger Trust's successful appeal stopped the badger cull from going ahead in Wales, but it was very expensive and only £10,000 was protected by the court. The NFU and FUW are still lobbying for a cull in England and Wales and further legal action may be necessary.

The auction will be held on 19th August and there is a remote bidding facility. Use this link to view the items:

The auction now includes memorabilia donated by Queen guitarist Brian May, including a tee shirt worn by him on tour, sets of guitar strings and plectrums!

There are now 184 lots, expected to reach approx 200. As well as many wonderful art pieces created by and/or given by local people there are:- jewellery items both antique and new / especially crafted for this auction -holidays donated include coastal breaks in Poppit and Aberporth (both wildlife rich and great for the coast path / walking) and Jerome Flynn has offered a long weekend for two in a luxurious barn conversion on his Trevaccoon estate.

Please put in a remote bid - it will be a great event!

The auction went well and raised over £7,000 for the Badger Trust to help pay their legal costs.
