I'm not sure if it would freeze and thaw well but maybe you can try with a carton of regular silk and let us know the results.

I wouldn't want to see you waste a precious drop of that lovely silk nog in experiements.

Some of my favorite vegan commerically produced foods are:

    - Annie's "Goddess Dressing"
    - Earth Balance's "Organic Buttery Spread"
    - White Wave's "Wheat Meat"
    - Road's End Organic's "Mozerrela Chreese Packets"
    - Silk's "Nog"
    - Dr. Oetker's "Organic Chocolate Cake Mix, and Frosting Mix"
    - Trader Joe's "Garlic Hummus"
    - Clif's "Cookie Builder Protein Bar"
    - Food For Life's "Sesame Live Grain Bread"
    - Food For Life's "Ezekiel 4.9 Almond Live Grain Cereal"
    - Nature's Path "Optimum Slim Cereal"

I know there are more, but those are my favorites. A good portion of everything else I buy consists of nuts, seeds, whole grains, veggies, legumes, fruits, teas, and spices.

You can make soy milk nog by adding soy lecithin and spices. I've made a nog like drink from simple bitter soy milk, soy lecithin, succant, and cinnamon. It's good.

    I like earth balance
Soy cream (I stopped eating tofuti after I tried soy cream)
    Haig's Hummus
    Haig's Baba Ghannouge
Maranatha raw and cooked nut butters
    Tropical Source chocolate
    kettle chips

Hmm, amy's is good, but so many dishes are vegetarian and not vegan, but the 'dairy free' labeled ones are often vegan.

I am pretty sure they now say vegan on the back right before the ingredients are listed.

Amy's brand does make some tasty TV dinner style meals. I recently tried the samosas and they werre great. I also like their breakfast burritos.

There's an odd thing here. Even new amy's premade meals sometimes are vegan but don't have the '(vegan)' marking in the ingredients, yet have no animal products in them. I've even picked up the same meal a couple weeks later and found the '(vegan)' marking on the ingredients, and it's not there when I return. Out of paranoia I've compared the two and they have the exact same ingredients. I don't know what the deal is, I wish it was always there because it makes purchasing pretty easy when it says vegan right on it. Then again I have no business eating pre-made dinners...

Okay I have to complain a little here. I LOVE earth balance. But I couldn't find any at the store, so I got this other vegan stuff, figuring "it's all the same, right?" No! This stuff is weird. It doesn't melt, and it's all rubbery. It's called Spectrum Natural Spreads. NEVER get it!!!

I already posted this in the brownie thread but I'll post it here as well, Allison's Gourmet makes the most delicious organic, vegan caramels and chocolates (which my husband gave me for Mother's Day ) as well as cookies and brownies which I haven't tried yet. When I say their caramel/chocolates were delicious, I mean better than any non-vegan ones that I ever had in my pre-vegan days and I used to work at a Swiss speciality store in London, UK that sold all sorts of high-end Swiss, French and Belgium chocolates. I, of course, had to sample a few hundred of them during my 6-month's there but as I said, Allison's is much, much better.

It's summer again so my favorite food is soy ice cream. Especially Soy Delicious. I was thinking about ordering Dulce de Leche through my health food store 'cause they don't carry that flavor. But the cashier told me I would have to buy it in a package of 6 quarts. Hmmmmmm......I think I'll do it anyway.

Other than that right now I definitley love pita's w/veganaise and any veggies I set my mind on.

A lot of my favorite vegan products have been named already.

    Tofurkey slices and italian sausages
    Vegennaise
Vanilla sandwich cremes (no particular brand. Some are vegan, some aren't. They're variations of Oreos, by the way.)
    Amy's dairy-free burritos
Amy's enchiladas (the ones without cheese)
    Vegan Gourmet cheeses
    Tofutti cream cheese
    Chocolate silk
    Soy Margarine
    Thai Kitchen Spring Noodle Bowl

I like Peelu Dental Chewing Gum and it's vegan!! I checked with the company and the label says it's cruelty-free. No artificial sweeteners either. A bit hard to find though, only at health food stores.

Well, I used Nayonaise...Soynaise...all kinds of yucky stuff, and I thought that's just how vegan mayos taste like, I better get used to it. I was about to give up before I hit on Vegenaise. Tomorrow I'll make a yummy potato salad with the stuff!

You can, it does work on everything. Follow Your Heart, the makers of Vegannaise and Vegan Gourmet cheese deserve a nobel prize.

I think Vegannaise tastes better than traditional mayo. I don't like Nayonaise to me it tastes like Miracle Whip which I never liked. I agree with you on the Vegan Gourmet mozzarella. Very good. I has Ezekieal 4:9 bread yesterday for the first time. I toasted it with Earth Balance. It was drop dead awesome.
What I think is cool is that I never would have tried these really good products if I hadn't become vegan. Omni's are missing out.
I actually brought some Earth Balance to a barbeque at my parent's house my mom put it on some rice, and no one noticed the difference between it and butter.

Ok, I found some amazing things in America:

Larabars - I only liked the ginger, cherry pie and cashew cookie.
Alternative Bakers Cookies - double chocolate was the best, but I loved the cranberry orange one as well as the peanut butter choc chip
Soy Delicious Cookie Avalanche (which we now have in Australia)
Forget the company, but raw walnut butter is amazing!

Annie's Goddess Dressing can be put on anything, giving it a tangy--almost cheesy--taste. I love to steam spinach, put it on some rice, and mix in the Goddess Dressing. It's heavenly. It's also great on steamed asparagus.

I shop at a big Asian food store. It has all these crazy vegan meat products: duck, shrimp, prawn, salmon, scallops, squid, etc. The duck is wonderful and the scallops cannot be believed. I adore them. I haven't tried the salmon or the squid yet.

    Other good stuff:
Alternative Baking Company coookies (espresso chip and pumpkin spice, esp.)
    Cowgirl Cookies
Near East couscous mixes (for those times when I need a quick dinner)
    Tofutti Cream Cheese
    Silk creamer
peanut butter-filled pretzels--I forget the brand, but I can find out
Tamarind Tree Indian meals (not all are vegan, but at least three are)
Sharon's sorbets (the coconut is out of this world; Edy's sorbets are almost as good but often too sweet)

Mostly, I cook a lot of whole foods for myself. The products I've listed are for quick meals and snacks.

    Cheers,
    rant
