Coconut Curries only kidding Banana I read your post on things to hate.

I really like a certain brand of Tofu (Smoked One) that is sold by a small Tofu maker near me it's lush.

Also a big fan of Alpro Vegan Choc Shake Hmmmmmmmm.

But food for the belly thats curries.....

I like Sainsbury's "Free From" margarine. It's really the only dairy free margarine I can eat which doesn't taste bad to me.

Tofutti better than sour creme, it's lovely on burritos. Pertwood Farm organic chocolate fudge pudding, scrummy with soya dream. Redwoods sage and marjoram sausages. I'm hungry now!

Oooh, I LOVE those Sausages, but WTF are the occasional small hard bits you find in them - I nearly broke a tooth last time I ate a pack (best straight from the fridge! ).

Can't say I've ever found any hard bits in them.

i've often found large gritty bits in vegan sausages, not necessarily Redwood ones though i can't remember which brand. i think i had a sausage roll at a recent vegan fayre and got a load of hard chunks in it.

The green one is best -Soya flavour. The Organic, my hubby likes, it tastes, (he says) like 'cheap margarine) - even though it is NOT cheap! (it sosts more than the other two).

Not tried the soya one but will give it a go next time. Hopefully won't be another tub of the stuff I end up throwing in the bin!

It was a green tub, and while I'm not a margarine connisseur (much to my family's shame), I thought it tasted quite nice. I think I bought it from Morrisons, or maybe Sainsburys. Probably Morrisons, I recall they had the best selection of veg*n stuff.

i like Pure margarine, too - the green tub soya one is my favourite. i've started buying the yellow tub sunflower one because it says it now has omega 3 & 6 added, but when i checked it seems to be a lot more omega 6 than 3, because of the sunflower i guess, but i believe that's not a good ratio? i'm not mad keen on the taste of that one either so i probably won't buy it again. i've never tried the organic one

even my (non-veg) folks eat Pure soya margarine

My current favourite uk vegan food product has got to be Green and Black's MAYA GOLD hot chocolate because it tastes like liquified Terry's chocolate orange chocolate a la vegan

i was a little disappointed by the Maya Gold drinking chocolate, after having searched all over for it, but maybe i was expecting too much - the Maya Gold bar is a lot to live up to, and it tasted a bit funny IMO.

Sorry to hear that Gorilla,but perhaps you followed the instructions and used level teaspoonfulls,I use 4 very heaped teaspoons(in reality,more like 8 level ones,lol)per cup and perhaps that is why we both have different experiances of it,or perhaps its just down to personal taste?

i've only tried it once, and the problem IMHO was it didn't dissolve very well at the bottom and had a strange aftertaste. maybe it's just me i will try putting more in next time i make it, thanks for the tip

Almost all are vegan and all are gluten free!!! Sage in Moseley (Birmingham, England)stocks some of this companies products and they are also coming to the veggie fayer at the Academy in June! I haven't tried them yet but I almost wet my pants when I saw their website!!!

I found somewhere that sells Montezumas up here, and pretty good chocolate it is too.
They also sell Cocoa Tree too. Good that some places support some of the smaller choclatiers, instead of green and blacks EVERYWHERE.

I'd recommend Biona organic dairy free chocolate spread. I bought some for the first time yesterday and think it's delicious. I like the Plamil chocolate spreads, but they are a bit runny, and the Biona spread has a much better consistency and isn't overly sweet.
