I was looking up calories in almonds as I've just started a diet and calorie counting is the easiest way I know. I've found info saying 160-170 calories per ounce, but also an interesting article which reckons not as many calories as that are absorbed due to the structure of raw almonds.
I'm not very "sciency" - how credible do people think this might be? Also, I soak my almonds because it makes them more munchy and delicious - might this actually make the fat more absorbable? (Even if it does I'll still do it because they expand to twice the original size so you eat less!)
