Los Angeles International Airport looks to add organic vegan restaurant

Vegan visitors to the third busiest airport in the United States might soon have a new place to sit down, relax and enjoy delicious plant-based fare while awaiting that late arrival.

According to the LA Times, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has awarded a contract to Real Food Daily, a restaurant that features organic vegan cuisine.

If the contract is approved by the Los Angeles City Council (apparently this is not a “slam dunk”), the new establishment will operate in Terminal 4.

After reviewing Real Food Daily’s offerings on the restaurant’s website it lead me to one conclusion, vegan travelers keep your fingers crossed that this contract gets approved, quickly.

With main courses like Salisbury Seitan (Wheat meat cutlets, mashed potatoes, golden gravy, caesar salad), Fettuccini Alfredo (Spinach fettuccini, creamy alfredo sauce, roasted red peppers, broccoli, toasted pine nuts, roasted garlic bread) and sandwich options like the Burger With The Works (RFD Burger plus avocado, tempeh bacon, melted cashew cheese) plant-based food aficionados can’t go wrong.

Just in case you don’t travel often or if you like to avoid LAX at all costs, Real Food Daily currently has two locations in the Los Angeles area, with restaurants in Santa Monica and West Hollywood.
