What options are out there for treatment of cervical cancer? Specifically anything a vegan could do for treatment?

Apparently a vegan wholefoods diet is meant to be useful for any cancer patient - but otherwise, the usual chemo, radiotherapy etc.. I suppose.
If you visit www.veganbodybuilding.org, you can see Pat Reeves' story about how she has beaten muliple Cancers through fitness and healthy (high-Raw) Vegan eating.
I hope it isn't you who is ill, assilemob?
possible...waiting for results but probability is high.

I'm also waiting, assilebob. I can totally relate. I feel so bad, because I've been very sloppy following up (I was due for a second check up a while ago). Hope everything will be OK.

I just had my third visit.
Thanks...I hope you are ok too.

Good luck with the tests!
Get a hysterectomy girls, don't dilly dally. If it is you need it out. Having said that, if I get cancer, I would opt for radiotherapy first, then surgery. Try to kill of as many cancer cells before surgery. Obviousy you need to consult the professionals first.
A possitive atitude also helps I think.
do they remove the cervex too with a hysterectomy? I didn't think they did cause my aunt had endometriosis (spelling??) and a hysterectomy with that...then I think she also ended up with cancer in her cervex as well as the other parts she had it in.

Not sure, although anything is possible in surgery, I suppose.
Your smear may have detected abnormal cells but not cancerous. Let us know, we will think positive thoughts.
thanks...i will do. it's just all so overwhelming. I am 24. It's just scary!
Not to mention everyone I have talked to was shocked at how long they spent taking biopsy's (they took 5 samples)
The whole thing took a little more than an hour. It sucked. no other way to put it.
I just hope they get back to me quick...quick is good news...

Dr Hulda Clark has a book The Cure for all Cancers. I bought 2 copies one for my cousin who was diagnosed with breast cancer in Spring 2004. I kept one for myself. Interesting note for my cousin her doctor has recommended a vegan diet with plenty of raw vegetables/fruits.
Dr. Richard Schulze has a book titled There are No Incurable Diseases. There is also a Cancer Alternatives forum on Curezone. I am sure there are people who could assist you with questions you might have, since a few of them have gone through tests.
One of our Earth Save members had terminal cancer and healed himself through alternative means. He told his story last month at the meeting. It was impressive.
Cruciferous vegetables, seaweed, berries, garlic, etc are a few vegetables/fruits that have been noted in possibly helping prevent/eliminate cancer.
You might want to check out Illness is Optional there is a radio show that comes on weekly. I usually listen to it on Sunday’s. They had a guest speaker (doctor), I believe on their show, which used alternative therapies with those who had cancer. Their clinic had amazing results.
Sending the both of you positive thoughts/vibes.

I'm sending positive thoughts your way, with an understanding of how hard the waiting can be.
Much love,
Roxy
I haven't read it yet - but I will now - I hope everything is ok
Good luck to both of you. I had a scare years ago, I remember the agony of waiting. Wishing you both the absolute best results.
I had atypical cervical cells, revealed by a pap smear, over 10 years ago. The doctor did cryro-surgery, essentailly using a chemical to freeze the problem area. It was out patient and took maybe 10 minutes. I don't remember any pain. I've been fine since.
My sister had a more serious form of cervical cancer and had her cervix removed along with her uterus. That was several years ago and she's been fine. She didn't have to have chemo or radiation.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You're doing the best thing which is getting information and not being in denial.
