mmmm firestorm, i'm liking the look of your overnight oats and tofu yung, is it a kind of tofu 'omelette'?
Yeah, its blended silken tofu with nutritional yeast, garlic granules, onion powder, cornflour, tamari, fried veg - all mixed together and baked (Covered) in a tin in the oven. Makes a good quiche filling as well (minus the tamari).
Salad of bulgar wheat, edamame beans and broccoli with plenty of rock salt, pitta bread and houmous, and butternut squash, sweet potato and red onion.

Quiche Lorraine baked potato, Cholent Knish, Veg:
Wow! What is a cholent knish? And what did you use to make a "quiche lorraine baked potato"?
That broccoli looks really good too
Live and let live
Cholent is a stew from Veganomicon, Knish's are from Vegan with a Vengeance (potato pastry usually filled with potato but I thought I would combine recipe's).
The baked potatoes are made by scooping out the potato, mashing with cream cheese (I used Tofutti), red onion & bacon bits (Baco's, McCormicks etc)
Wow! A lot of effort went into preparing that meal! *impressed*

Have a big backlog of photos awaiting uploading onto Flickr and then here. Here are some pictures of the food I served at a barbecue/ garden birthday party I hosted back at the start of July. All made by me and all my own recipes (except the "cracklesnaps", got that recipe from my Mum!).
Bean salad (above left); pasta salad (above right)
Couscous salad (above left); potato salad (above right)
Assortment of salads and cakes, including home-made coleslaw in foreground (above left); strawberry and Pimms cupcakes and "cracklesnaps" (chocolate crispy cakes) (above right)

The cupcakes look wonderful (as does everything)!
Thanks!
I think they are my most popular cupcake recipe. They always disappear like lightening. Last year I made a second batch during the party and they still all vanished! I love the smell of them when they're cooking, and their first appearance out of the oven with bits of strawberry bursting through. </cupcake gush>

Everything looks great! Firestorm, I have been wanting to try that cholent recipe, although I'm not sure if I'm up for putting it in knish form!
Rainbow, all your salads look mouthwatering, especially the couscous! Barry, I'd like to have some of that tagine and soda bread!

I knew I had to stay away from this thread! I never learn! At the moment, we are 'doing raw' but oh my. What delicious looking vegan food! OK, mouth is now watering...

Pusskins, there's nowt wrong with a bit of cooked food. Increase the amount of raw food in your diet if it makes you feel better, but there's really no reason to eliminate cooked food entirely from your diet. Barry's tagine, pizza and stirfry will only do you good. If it's not hurting others or harming you, don't deprive yourself!

Its a packet mix - I used Asda's chiken chunks (might have to take a trip to the Quay Co-op cafe if i'm in Ireland!):
Mmm. No Asdas in Dublin unfortunately, may have to improvise! Cheers though.
Yeah, the quay was great, but those photos don't do Cafe Paradiso justice. It was the best restaurant I've ever been to, I've never had a meal like it.

Wow this all looks so good an inspiring! Thanks, I got some meal ideas for this week too!
Yummy marshmallows I made from the recipe at http://www.meatandeggfree.com/vegan-marshmallows.html
Houmous atá ann!
vanllem - what is that raspberry lunch you had there?
homemade marshmallows?? - i'm impressed blueberries!!
These are lentil burgers from a vegan restaurant called Buddha Burger in Tel Aviv, Israel. Very delicious!
The patties in the background are sweet potato and carrot
Those look awesome, peachila!
Also, Blueberries, I am super impressed by the marshmallows. I love vegan marshmallows, but have never had any homemade ones.

Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
cook 1-16oz box Wegmans Italian Classics Lumachine (elbows)
Drain and set aside in pan.
In a sauce pan melt 1/4 c Earth balance vegan margarine over low heat.
Add 2 blocks Follow Your Heart Vegan Gourmet Cheddar.
mash cheese with your stirring spoon to melt faster.
Add 2 tsp salt. cover, stirring occasionally until melted.
Warm 3/4 c soy milk in the microwave.
Whisk 1/8 c flour into warm soy.
Pour flour/soy milk mixture into melted cheese.
Mix well, taste and add more salt if needed.
Add cheese to mac and mix well. Serve hot.
^-- That's how I made it, but you would prob have better luck with leftovers if you can get your hands on Daiya instead. The Follow Your Heart goes solid as soon as it cools. Still yummy though.

that is a ton of cheese rubes. I think I may have a hard time giving that much cheese to a recipe....especially since they are like 6 bucks a block... lol
I made the best mac and cheese yesterday...I kind of loosly followed the veganomicon nutrional yeast sauce recipe, and the way I did it turned out way better....also I mixed panko bread crumbs into the mixture, it was devine.

I know missb, it is a ton of cheese! I've only made it that way once as a special request, because my (now) husband was dying for that "Kraft" boxed crap.
...It was really good though
