    Default Going to Huddersfield

    Hi all.

I've got to go to Huddersfield for a week. I've no idea what I'll eat while up there, but if anyone has an info that would help me avoid a week of bread, water, and marg., that would be greatly appreciated.

I went to Huddersfield once. It was closed.

Where are you staying and do you have a car?

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm staying more or less on the New North Road. I'll be walking to and from the University of Huddersfield each day, a distance of about a mile, which will take me right through the centre of town. I won't have a car, and hence can't go to other towns easily.

initially i thought to feel annoyed at some assumption that huddersfield is sooo grim youd be on bread water and marg..i almost went 'hurrumph!!

then i realised it is kinda shite for specific vegetarian (even) eateries, has miserable looking people and as glen says, is CLOSED.
there are a couple of HF shops, a H&B and supermarkets, and open markets that sell *gasp* food..vegetables, fruits and grains.

    im sure youre surviving
