I had no idea what an amazing range of overpriced snacks they did at petrol stations on which I could live if necessary.

    Default Quick vegan snacks

What do you vegans snack on besides fruits & veggies? I'm in school so I'm always in a hurry and it's hard to find variety. I'm a huge fan of unfrosted poptarts and cliffbars but I'm looking for something a little healthier.

if you want to go really healthy, pack a ziploc with baby carrots, green beans, nuts, dried fruit, unbuttered popcorn, rice or soy cakes . if you want to eat more junky type foods, there are a ton of crackers, chips, pretzels, party mixes, etc. that you can find anywhere. Just go into any corner store or supermarket and you can find a lot if you just look around. It takes a little more time to look at ingredient labels but it's so worth it.

    Enjoy and Good Luck.

I live off of cereals, and granola bars.

I also recommend Trader Joe's Vegan Cookies. They are so delicious, and they have three different types Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal.

if you have time at the weekends, there are raw fruit & nut energy bars you can make in no time, keep in the fridge, and take out when you need to.

My personal favourite is mushrooms and bell peppers dipped into homemade hummus. The other obvious culprits are various fruits and a good diversion to hunger is tea of any kind. As for chips, I really like the Krunchies (I think that's what it's called) brand...though they're highly fatty and I'd advise eating them as a rarity. They're a kettle cooked chip, so the damage is a bit less then yr normal garden variety chip.

One of my favorite snacks is chips and salsa. I swear I could live on that. Here are some other quickies:

--pita torn into bite-sized chunks and dipped in hummus
--bread with Annie's Goddess Dressing spread on it liberally
--peanut butter and jelly (or pumpkin butter) on toast
    --peanut butter-filled pretzels
--sliced carrots dipped in spicy brown mustard
--frozen spinach heated in the microwave and covered with Annie's Goddess dressing (with chopped avocado if I have one on hand)
    --instant oatmeal

Mmm. Now I want Goddess Dressing. Mmm.

Dates are definately my fave for on the go snacks, and at home I like veggies and pitta bread with dip, or some fruit. Sometimes I grab a bag of crisps but I can eat a tonne of them so really try to avoid if I can!

lol...I have a PB issue. I kinda binged on it on the weekend and my hips/tummy aren't looking so hot...so I'm not gonna buy it until I'm more in control, hah.

As for the grapes, some varieties freeze better than others. I have found that smaller grapes taste best frozen (they just kind of..pop when you bite them?), while larger ones don't do the trick as they get too slushy.

A veggie cafe near my work has been doing vegan banana apple crumble. Basically banana and apple topped w/ some muesli looking stuff baked, no suagr added, it's yum!

At the moment I'm enjoying 2 Orgran corn crispibread w/ natural peanut butter or almond butter as a snack in the arvo or w/ some roast capsicum hommous.

    Default My favorite snack is...

Mmm... I'm currently addicted to Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus with whole wheat flatbread (they put a dollop of minced garlic & roasted peppers in the middle of the yumminess, as well!!)

A few of my other favorites are:
    - Celery with peanut butter
    - A quick sammich of steamed veggies, Tofutti Cream Cheese, and Italian herbs
    - Soy yogurt with a crushed up granola bar on top
    - Snow peas dipped in Goddess dressing

What about you guys?? What are your favorite super-quick nom noms?
