In Minnesota wolves have barely been removed from the Endangered Species List and are finally recovering from years of hatred and ignorance towards them. And then this....

I am just floored. There is no valid reason to hunt them, none. If they are a threat to farmers because they are taking livestock, maybe the farmers should consider that the livestock they are "keeping" are kept in an unnatural environment where they cant defend themselves. At the very least provide a barrier between the livestock and predators instead of the solution of killing something. But I doubt this is the only reason for the hunt. Or that populations need to be managed. Get real it is still rare to see a wolf up here although I have seen several and they are very timid elusive creatures. The article specifically mentions that the wolf hunting season will be during prime pelt for the wolves. Is that any coincidence?
