    Default Vegan comfort food

When the weather is cold and damp and grey, or when you're just feeling blue - what food/s bring you comfort???

I've just had for my lunch 2 'doorstep' slices of fresh, crusty farmhouse bread, lightly toasted until golden brown, spread liberally with Pure margarine and topped with a more than generous quantity of Granovita Original Yeast Pate.

More than hit the spot on a grey, rainy and cold day

    When I don't feel well :
    Anything with chocolate in it.
    Oriental pasties or Asian cakes
Salty snacks, nuts or dried fruits...

    When it's cold :
    Very warm French onion soup
Warm apple crumble with vanilla cream
    Angels' hairs
And very hot peppermint tea or liquorice infusion
One day, I'll die from an Asian junk food overdose ! lol

Some disgusting overprocessed beans-in-a-tin called "Mexibeans" that are basically baked beans Mexican-style! They're my weakness So I usually team them with lots of veggies and salad to make up for the disgustingness. Hm.... comfort food.... my favourite kind of food!

Anything sweet or chocolatey, but my favourite "I'm feeling sorry for myself" food has got to be vegan fudge.

Medjool dates are at the top of the list, followed by:
    - toasted sourdough bread with avocado
    - thick bean soup
    - oatmeal
    - rice balls (like falafel)

Me too, I do not even own a deep fryer (although I do want to buy one just for falafel and French fries).

The only situation where I get to indulge in deep fried falafel is when I visit a vegan or vegetarian restaurant that offers them (like Soul Vegetarian).

BTW, I am munching on another comfort food right now, Enviro-Kids chocolate chip waffles with Earth Balance spread and maple syrup.
