We've just returned from a snowboarding trip to Whistler in Canada. Last time we were there was 6 years ago.
What can I say?
I was amazed at the improvement in labelling in the mountain restaurants. In the first one that I went in to I just stood and stared in awe at all of the menu boards. What was it to be? Vegan chickpea burger, vegan asian noodles, stirfry and tofu, tofu with a satay sauce and rice?, deli counter..... Every item was labelled very clearly to say whether is was vegan, veggie, or gluten free.
In Blackcomb there is even a pizza restaurant (Creekbread) with vegan pizza on the menu!!! It is the best pizza I have ever tasted!!!!!
In the GLC bar there was a very tasty tofu with spicy chilli sauce, edamame beans, and salad. I must admit that went down well a few times with apres cocktails!!!
Whistler...you rock!
