Hello everyone, On October 6th I'll be walking for farm animals in my city (St. Catharines, Ontario), and I am trying to raise funds to help end the cruelty and suffering of these animals.
you can donate here(every little bit helps!): http://events.walkforfarmanimals.org...icipantID=8012
or you could find a walk near you and participate.
so far I have raised 71% of my goal!

Here is a video from Peter Dinklage, the 2012 spokesperson.

my story: My horse came from a farm that housed several goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, cows, horses, pigs, and sheep. You would think that you would need a lot of space for these animals? Yes, of course! but at this place, these animals were all kept in horse stalls all day long. Some of the horses were allowed outside but only when the ground wasn't wet because they could ruin what little forage there was with their hooves. The sheep were kept in smalls pens outside without shelter. Not even shade from a tree. All of these animals were fed very little amounts, were starving, diseased, injured, and desperate. Many of them of course were raised for meat. The humane society was called multiple times and did nothing. My soon-to-be horse at the time was covered in a fungal disease called "rain-rot" which looked and felt like a giants scab over his whole body. He was starving, and his hooves were split. He is another horse now after a year and I am very proud of him, but I wish there was more I could do for the other animals. This is why I believe in Farm Sanctuary. They exist to help animals like these.
