This is very simple and very cheap - should cost less than a pound. It is also very quick.
You will need
1 tin of vegetable soup (vegan of course)
1 tin of baked beans
4 slices of wholemeal bread
Sieve the beans, draining/washing off all the sauce (which is full of sugar and therefore not good for you!)Add the beans to the soup, cook for 3 - 4 minutes till boiling, then serve and eat! Yes, that's all there is to it!
Even though it isn't a heavy meal by any means, it is surprisingly filling.
The beans and wholemeal bread combined make a complete protein.
The beans, bread and vegetables provide plenty of carbohydrates.
There is very little fat, so if required, you could chase it down with an avocado or some nuts, as you like.
