I have the same problem, I have very dry skin and in Winter especially, my skin, especially in between my fingers and my lips gets very cracked. For my hands, I've just been using a £1 bottle of cocoa body butter from Superdrug. For my face, I recently ordered Tisserand Organic Jojoba Pure Blending Oil.

Yeah, I know that oil is pretty expensive but I thought I'd take the risk. The superdrug one I'm using isn't doing much good for me. Anyway, look around, check reviews etc. And good luck.

I use St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal and Shea Butter lotion. I don't know if it's available where you are. I don't think St. Ives the company itself is vegan. But the lotion bottle states it's not tested on animals and doesn't contain animal ingredients. I have eczema so I have a hard time finding something that works.

I use Lush Dream Cream for my psorasis. Different creams suit different people, but the good thing about Lush is that they will let you test it before you buy it to see if it suits your skin.

Thanks shadewood, it might work for just before bed, but a bit greasy for all day use. I've been using the superdrug hand cream, the anti ageing one in the purple tube, but it's just not working this year. I blame the weather!

Thanks tabbycat, it doesn't seem to be available here in the uk.

Not a hand cream but help for hands, if you do hand washing and you have rubber gloves, before you put them on, put a good sloop of olive oil on your hands, glove up, wash up in hot water. The oil gets absorbed into your hands and does help.
If you don't want to use oil you can use body lotion or hand lotion.
BTW - don't use it with flock/fleece lined gloves - bit messy
