    Cool Raw vegan smoothies

    Hello everyone!! I'm new to this site. I turned raw vegan on Nov 1st 2012 and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. I have lost 30 lbs of body fat and have gotten stronger and more muscular. I am a former NC state champion power lifter and bodybuilder and now at almost 48 years old, I feel healthier and stronger than I did when I was competing in my twenties and thirties. My main concern was how do I make sure I'm getting enough protein from my meals and my smoothies. in the morning I drink a smoothie consisting of bananas, spinach, frozen broccoli, frozen peaches and blue berries, almonds, almond milk, and Raw Meal Protein powder by Garden of Life. I do one smoothie in the morning before work and another one late in the evening after work. between the smoothies I do fresh salads and only one cooked meal consisting of beans and rice. Does that sound like enough protein or should I add something to it?

    body, actually, don't need protein as much as people think.
    a simple suggestion for newbie raw vegan is eat your local products variedly ^_^!!
    drink enough water, get enough sunlight and sleep.
    that will be enough for your body... for everyone

    Walnuts, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, etc...

    Leafy greens. Vitamin A stimulates protein synthesis.

    There is Sunwarrior raw protein powder if you feel you need more protein.
