    Default Support needed for Vegan Event in Kent

    The Vervet Monkey Foundation will be holding an official Re-union on 18th May 2013. Everyone is welcome especially all past, present and future volunteers along with anyone interested in volunteering, learning more about primates, what the VMF does, monkey updates and why the VMF chooses to promote a vegan lifestyle. Free vegan food, guest speakers, live music, raffle and art auction as well as a social party in the evening.
    2013 will be the 20th Anniversary of the Vervet Monkey Foundation since established in 1993 and so there's lots to celebrate and many more goals to achieve.

    Buy your tickets for the VMF re-union here, just £5 everyone welcome www.vmfreunion.eventbrite.com. If you wish to stay over, don't forget to book a room well in advance.

    Schedule subject to minor changes:

    12 midday – Welcome, vegan appetisers (Fry's 'chicken' burgers), drink and goody bags, raffle tickets

    1pm – Vervet Monkey Foundation updates - Dave (Director & Founder) & Josie Du Toit (Animal Manager / Rehabilitator)

    VMF UK events - Sarah Jane Smith (VMF UK Events Co-ordinator)

    VMF Release site campaign- Alasdair Davies

    3pm – Break (vegan cakes / biscuits) raffle tickets

    3.30pm – Art auction

    4pm – Guest speaker – Juliet Gellatley (Founder & Director, Viva!)

    Talk: 'Wild Thing'

    How the fate of farmed and wild animals are intertwined and why our diet is essential to saving the world’s threatened wildlife.

    Short break and vegan taster samples

    Video - 'The dark side of dairy'

    Talk: 'Why you don't need Dairy, including take the health challenge'

    5.30pm – Questions and answers

    6.30pm ish – Vegan buffet dinner

    7.30pm until late – Evening entertainment live Swedish artist Emma Larsen, raffle prizes drawn, DJ and dancing begins.

    2am - closed.

    The venue has kindly been sponsored by The Inn on the Lake. Rooms at the venue are now full but there are places to stay nearby book well in advance as rooms are filling up fast. Premier Inn Gravesend Central or A2 Singlewell are just a few minutes drive.

    Thank you - trying to arrange things from South Africa is not without its problems - Just finding vegan caterers was a nightmare - but we really looking forward to a great day and a fantastic evening

    Are there any vegans in Kent and the surrounding area - this is an opportunity to bring non vegan friends to an event that everyone can enjoy
