    Default AKC Does Nothing to Protect Dogs

    In a way I'm not all that surprised. I think people are better off getting a pet from the humane society or a rescue group. Those are the animals that really need homes. I don't support pet breeders. They are simply making pet overpopulation worse. I do support having all pets spayed and neutered.

    All kennel clubs care about is getting 'perfect' dog breeds, regardless of the implications to the poor dogs.

    I agree. I think the thing that really bothered me was the fact that they claimed they went out and inspected a breeder, and passed them with flying colors. Even brag about it. Then a reporter goes in and investigates and finds the animals are living in deplorable conditions, in poor health and with open sores/ wounds.
