Fish Oil Does Not Improve Heart Health
    May 13, 2013

Supplementing with omega-3 fatty acids does not improve heart health, according to a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Researchers analyzed data from 12,513 men and women from the Risk and Prevention Study in Italy. After an average follow-up of five years, patients taking the omega-3 supplements did not reduce their risk of death or hospitalization from heart disease, compared with those who took placebo.
These findings support two recent reviews published in 2012.
Roncaglioni MC, Tombesi M, Avanzini F, et al. n-3 fatty acids in patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors. N Engl J Med. 2013;368:1800-1808.

I can't follow the link for some reason. I'm curious if there are still other benefits from omega oils?
I get mine from hemp seed/oil anyway because I love it on salad

I think it might be a problem with that entire website. If you just put in the www.pcrm.org it still takes you to the Problems Loading Page error. Perhaps their server is down?

Omega-3, or DHA/EPA, is also said to be good for eg. brain health, for it's anti-inflammatory effect and more.
    Look here:

    More about vegan DHA/EPA here.
