This show bothers me more than any other cooking show, because they use so much dairy produce, all that butter, cream, milk, eggs, just to make some fancy cakes and pastries that the judges just take a small taste of. It's such a waste. Since turning vegan these types of shows are like a horror film to me. It's so unnecessary and, so much suffering goes into something as pointless as a massive pile of profiteroles. On a positive note, I made a huge pan of cinnamon rolls covered with glaze for a bunch of omnis, including my mother who hates vegan food, and they loved them and couldn't tell they were dairy-free. Small steps and all that...!
