I'm Going!!!
Collection
The collection at this years Fayre will be taken on the door by our stewards and will be split between the Bristol Cancer Help Centre and VegFam. Your generosity is appreciated. There will be two stewards on each of the 3 doors throughout the day and they will be holding the ‘official collection’ buckets.
Any chance of a two dayer sounds dog darn busy mind you even if I don't get to see it all it is far better than going to an event which you whizz around in 10 mins and say "what was that all about".
Fingers crossed for the sun as well, last year was grey and overcast and cold, even though it's indoors being sunny makes all the better.

Hey Jay!!snaffler
Hi - think I saw you there from your photo - recognised the hair!! even though it's shorter! Sorry, I'm ok when I know people but tend to be very reserved and shy otherwise, so didn't have the nerve to come and speak - just in case it wasn't you..... never mind... another time. Will post a photo in my profile soon..... Have a nice day
Well I had a great weekend - show was great also nice to put faces to names and meet up with so many people. Venue was good, Bristol def very vegan friendly. Great meal out Fri too

Alison
Hi Alisont!
Was very nice to meet you on Friday, and was nice to bump into you at the fayre! It was indeed a great weekend. I felt that the fayre was a great success and had a great atmosphere. The best vegan fayre I've been to so far!!
I speak for myself when I say this: I thoroughly enjoyed the aftershow party! I had a good laff! The food was great.
Hi
Was great to meet you too glad the party was good - will get there next time..............
Alison
I was very late getting there on account of having to go from Somerset via Cornwall!! So, didn't arrive until late but it was *great* - spent loads of money, nearly got bitten by a dog - very embarrassing - they normally like me, not this one - don't think that one would ever like ANYone - sorry if human companion is reading this!! Couldn't stay long as had to get back for my dogs. Snaff.... have left you a message a few posts back - don't miss it. Watch my profile for a photo so I can be recognised next year! And... check out 'Brag about your pets' for a photo of my pride and joy (well, one of them!) both coming tomorrow hopefully!
So where are your photos from the event then, folks? Huh? HUH?
Aye, it was an excellent day out at the Bristol vegan fayre, good stools ( Snaffler), cool music and a decent variety of talks. I checked out the vegfam talk by Howard Friedenstern and they do some great work, and also the Kerry McCarthy talk, our very first vegan MP for Bristol East. I am not a big fan of politicians but might have turned out to give Kerry a Labour (i would have to clench my teeth) vote, she's been vegan for 14 years and knew her stuff. If only there were more MPs like her.....
The attendance at the fayre was very good, and if it had been any busier it would have been difficult to get around and talk with the stall holders. Bought some Cocoa Tree chocolate, Hemp tea, and some Yaoh bars, along with a Sam Smiths lager. Along with all the food i consumed. Including three cakes from the Guinea Pig stall, i'm not sure if they think i'm following them all around from place to place? But they make the BEST cakes, i can't help it!?
The evening meal was cool, good company, and popped into the notorious Fresh and Wild for some more cake today, then onto the AGM and home, phew!
Well done to everyone who put in the effort to make it happen.
Hello to everyone i met at the fayre
had a good time but could've done with being there longer. apologies to everyone i didn't get to see hope to catch up with you another time!
'The word gorilla was derived from the Greek word Gorillai (a "tribe of hairy women")'
An estimated six thousand people descended on the L Shed for the world's biggest vegan event, The Bristol Vegan Fayre.
