The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
I like the sound of your dinner What's vegan scampi like? I had faux fish fingers at the Brizzle Vegan Fayre and almost threw up. They were a bit too fishy for my liking.
I like football. And potatoes.
There are different sorts of vegan scampi... I used to love the real thing, but the fake ones remind me far too much of them...
I'm with you there Frosty, I had a fish substitute at a fair and it was lovely but when I bought one and cooked it at home, I nearly threw up.
15 cans of beer Emzy - you sound like my kind of girl.
I could really eat the sandwich Roxy had, it sounds yummy.
So far:
2 cups of tea
4 w/m toast and pure
Chips
1 pint cider
2 glasses white wine
I'm drinking another can of cider, so naughty!!!!
Foxy, sunblush tomatoes are a bit like sundried tomatoes but sweeter and not so dry because they're usually stored in oil (often with garlic and herbs). they're delicious but expensive!
fake fish: i like it, but i absolutely hated real seafood before i was vegetarian. maybe my tastes have changed (i haven't eaten any for over 15 years) but i don't imagine it tastes that much like the real thing, i don't know?

Mesa Sunrise cereal with rice milk
coffee with soya milk
some mixed seeds and dried fruit
big green salad with cherry tomatoes and houmous
bowl of pumpkin and red pepper soup

I had no appetite for the food I had to choose from yesterday.
Only ate a bagel and some tofu scramble with veggies all day!
today so far:
gardein gaucho 'breast' on a bagel

coffee with soy milk
for dinner I'm thinking of making meatball subs with this instant seiten I bought awhile back. I really want to try it but I'm scared! We have rolls, sauce, onions and nutritional yeast, so theres no better time to try it out!
also some boiled potatoes and sauercraut.
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
Breakfast - apple followed by porridge w/ rice milk, topped with cinnamon and maple syrup.
Disappointing lunch - had a spontaneous visit to a pub we'd never been to before and even though they had some fancy award-winning chef all they could offer me was a side salad and chips... although the chips were great... proper fat chunks of potato with the skin still on, mmmm.
Dinner - pitta bread filled with scrambled tofu, courgette and red pepper.
Two bowls of soup (olive oil, garlic, red onion, vegetable stock made with Marigold reduced salt bouillon powder, carrot, potato, cabbage, mixed beans, chili powder, ground ginger, mixed herbs, lemon juice).

snack: strawberry banana soy yogurt
dinner: chips & salsa, burrito w/ grilled onions, peppers & mushrooms, refried beans, spanish rice, beer
The vegan Scampi tastes like the vegan fish fingers which I think taste and smell like the real thing. I asked my omni friend to try some of my scampi and she liked it but said scampi was more slimey and that they tasted more like fish fingers than anything. I don't have it often! The only reason I brought it was cuz it was on offer at H&Bs. I've never tried the real thing cuz I would die due to a severe seafood allergie!
Aphrodite - 15 cans of beer is alot for me to drink in one night. Over a festival I might drink 20cans a day, out drinking my male friends. However normally I might enjoy a bottle with dinner or at the pub. Maybe why I have such a high tolerance.
BREAKFAST:
Releat mince, chopped tomatos and chilli powder on toast
LUNCH:
Wholemeal pitta bread with peanut butter and reduced sugar jam
LUNCH 2 : (This was about an hour later when I went to see my mum) Some fake beef slices with mustard and ketchup on a wholemeal seeded (mmm pumpkin seeds) bagel.
DINNER: I dunno yet! I just got home and to be honest I'll prob just have pasta. Get to go shopping tomorrow. Bring on the fresh food and no more canned stuff....well at least till the end of the month when I run out of money again

are you alright Mr Frost?
I had almond milk for the first time today and it was absolutely yummy. I also had some little cakes I made from rice crispies, mint vegan chocolate and I added sesame seeds to give a nod to healthy eating!
Good idea about the sesame seeds, now the whole chocolate thing is cancelled out!!
