I've been away for team leader training (for my job as a student mentor). We were staying at a really posh hotel and I was quite impressed with their ability to cater for vegans - possibly the best vegan meal I've had at a non-vegan place!
yesterday:
plenty of coffee
caramelized carrots, courgettes + aubergine from the lunch buffet, and a breadroll
3-course dinner: for me they came up with 3 types of melon, rosemary potatoes cooked with various veg (peppers, carrot, cabbage) and nicely seasoned, fruit salad with the greatest variety of fruit I've ever had
today:
plenty of coffee again
banana
ratatouille + a breadroll from the lunch buffet
3 bourbon creams
now munching on a late "supper" of muesli, apple + rice milk

Now it is necessary to civilize man in relation to nature and the animals.

Lunch: Stir fried veggies (yellow pepper, red pepper, green pepper, celery, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts and a few other bits n pieces which I forget) w/ coriander basmati rice. Nakd lemon flavour raisins.
Snack: Larabar (Cherry Pie).
Dinner: Tortilla wraps filled w/ Plamil mayo, lettuce, spring onion, asparagus, mushroom, pomodorino tomatoes, yellow pepper. Bowl filled w/ strawberries and cherries. Homamade chocolate-banana shake.
And what the hell, I might have an unhealthy snack and a glass of red wine later... it's been a long week and now it's finally over
My first taste of it was pretty disgusting, tis true
But apparently the way it is marinaded and prepared has a BIG impact on the texture and taste (and you can also buy pre-flavoured ones that are supposed to be nice).
Anyway I tried again with some home-smoked tofu in a salad at a restaurant and it was really delicious, tasted nothing like the other lot.
Keep experimenting!

Yeah it is nasty . 11 days on from it starting I STILL have this going on . Went to the doctors and he says it's tonsilitus, a viral infection and some kind of allergy that isn't food related . Talk about painful still damn it. I've been eating better though. Trying to make sure I eat even though it hurts as otherwise I won't get better.
Breakfast - 2 satsumas, some strawberries, 2 alpro soya yogurts.
Lunch - chips with ketchup.
Dinner - sweet and sour veg with rice noodles (veg includes onion, sweetcorn, peas, carrots and tomatoe enough for the 5 a day in that alone ).
Supper - 2 slices of vegetable pizza with no cheese .
Snacks - apple pie, liquorice.
Drinks - water, pineapple juice, hot chocolate, coffee and cola.
That's more like what I eat normally compared to the last time I posted. I hope I am eating enough though .
