    I've just eaten peanut butter and jam together on bread for the first time. It was an accident... I spread my jam on so thick that when I tried to eat the sandwich, the jam squidged out onto my slice of bread and peanut butter

    This might not sound that nice but tasted really good!! had a sandwich with wholemeal bread, spincach, avocado, marinated tofu, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. put a little bit of linseed oil in too...although that stuff can be really overpowering!

    breakfast: vanilla almond shredded oats w/ ground flax & soymilk

    snack: banana

    lunch: salad (leaf lettuce, cucumber, broccoli, shredded carrot, cherry tomatoes, sprouts, chickpeas, vinaigrette), five small rolls w/ marinara, two newman's hint of mint cookies

    snack: walnuts & a pear

    dinner: lentil loaf, sauteed mushrooms & broccoli, baked sweet potato w/ earth balance

    possibly later: coffee w/ silk creamer

    -banana

    - raw vegan "grilled cheese". The "bread" was ground flax mixed with water and spices and then shaped in a balls and flattned, and the "cheese" was soaked pine nuts blended with tumeric, squeezed lemon, and sea salt.

    -channa masala (indian chickpea dish)

    - and i am about to have some coconut or something...
    I eat nutritional yeast by the spoonful.

    Snack:

    Lunch:
    -Brown rice and black beans with Bragg's
    -Raw vegetables: baby carrots, red pepper slices, brocolli, and cauliflower
    -Creme caramel soy fro yo

    It's getting late, and I need to find something for dinner. I'm thinking left-over baked, marinated tofu, a salad, and an apple

    1 cup of coffee with Silk creamer.

    Fry up: organic potato, organic red pepper, chopped up Yves tofu hot dog, cayene, tumeric, garlic all fried up together in a little olive oil and topped with ketchup. YUM!

    Chickpea Salad: Organic chickpeas, organic red pepper, cherry tomatoes, shredded organic carrot, sweet onion dressing.

    Veggie Burger: Multigrain bun, Yves veggie burger, corn relish, Tofutti cheese slice, tomato slices, bread & butter pickle, ketchup, mixed organic leaves.

    45g all natural veggie chips on the side.

    1 cup of Guava juice.

    1 cup of lemon & ginger tea.

    4 oatmeal cookies.

    pb & j = awwwwwesome. almond butter with banana slices is really good too. i also sometimes like having toast with a thin layer of raw tahini with a little agave nectar or sorghum syrup spread on top with a cup of coffee.. it makes a good breakfast.

    Today wasn't the world's healthiest day, because I had more sweet stuff than usual and less fruits and stuff, but it tasted good!

    Breakfast:
    -Pancakes with maple syrup
    -Plain soy yogurt, sweetened with stevia

    Snack:
    -Like 3 T hummus (the last bit in the jar) with broccoli and cauliflower
    -Silk Nog

    Lunch:
    -Whole wheat pasta with organic sauce and TVP
    -Baby carrots
    -Smoothie: Last bit of soymilk, 1/2 a banana, frozen strawberries

    Dinner:
    -Salad: romaine lettuce, cucumbers, baby carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, lowfat dressing
    -Whole wheat couscous, cooked in vegetable broth
    -Tempeh with ketchup
    Dessert: Creme caramel soy fro yo

    Mid-day: cherry pie Larabar (ick way too tart)
    a few chunks of watermelon

    Dinner: avocado and cucumber sushi with wasabi and soy sauce
    seaweed salad

    Evening: grande, soy, caramel latte
    an apple

    Except for the Larabar (cherry pie is the only flavor I have yet to like) it was an exceptionally delicious day!

    I thought the same thing at first. But apparently only their caramel SAUCE has milk ingredients in it and their caramel SYRUP doesn't.

    brunch: tofu stir-fry (w/ onion, mushroom, squash, zucchini, broccoli, carrot & alfalfa sprouts), bagel w/ apple jelly, 2 cups of coffee w/ soymilk

    snack: walnuts, applesauce, celery sticks, coffee w/ silk hazelnut creamer

    dinner: lentil loaf, sauteed broccoli & mushrooms, baked sweet potato w/ earth balance

    later: probably a couple beers and some ritz crackers if I'm hungry

    2 pieces of multigrain toast with Earthbalance.

    1 multigrain breadroll with a cold (cooked) Yves veggie burger, corn relish and vegan mayo.

    Fry up: diced organic potatoes, organic red pepper, organic mushrooms, garlic, cayene, tumeric, oregano, olive oil, ketchup.

    2 oatmeal cookies.

    3 pieces of chocoalte.

    1 cup of Cinnamon Spice tea (mmmm yum) it's in the Celestial Seasonings range of Christmas teas.

    'Baked' potato with margarine and ketchup
    Peas

    Dessert:
    Small handful of cashews and peanuts coated with this sugary syrup...very yum

    Evening snack:
    A few handfuls of pistachios
    Around 10 Japanese-style rice crackers with Tartex

    I munched all day today, I was sooo hungry!

    Breakfast - oatmeal w/ ground flax, trader's joe's omega nut blend (cranberries, pepitas, walnuts, almonds) and light vanilla soymilk. couple cups of coffee w/soy creamer and later a slice of homemade whole wheat banana flax bread.

    lunch - slice of pizza w/eggplant

    snack - peice of toast w/eb and hot chocolate made with light vanilla soymilk.

    snack - another peice of toast w/eb and cup of tea w/soymilk

    dinner - pompadoms, sandwich of sliced grape tomatoes, seasoned olive oil, picholine olives, and a glass of red wine. some dark chocolate for dessert.

    @ Treehouse Cafe: 2 vegan sausages, baked beans, fried mushrooms + tomatoes + potatoes

    slice of chocolate, banana + walnut cake

    corn on the cob, steamed veggies, rest of salad


    drinks: 2 black coffees, 2 green teas, 1 nettle tea, 1 peppermint tea, water!

    today was food heaven- we went to a culinary fair in Cologne and tried a lot of stuff ^ ^

    breakfast: muesli with soymilk

    snack/lunch/dinner ?!:
    dates
    couscous salad with chickpeas and peppers

    bread with different spreads: Curry,
    bear's garlic, eggplant, horseradish, green + black tapenade, various dried fig spreads, plum-gingerbread and pina colada jam...

    apple chips
    dried and fresh cranberries, cranberry juice

    mojitos out of a bag (!)
    sherry

    various chocolates

    No need to say that we were dizzy, full and broke after less than two hours.
    In the end I bought some of the curry spread, black olive tapenade and a fig-cocoa-mint chutney...

    Dinner tonight will be this soup and there's still a huge melon in my kitchen...

    Toasted bagel with pure,

    organic vegetable soup with a couple of corn cracker things,

    Steamed vegetables including cabbage, potatoes, garden peas ( all organic)

    various drinks through the day including coffee ( I know, but at least it is fairtrade, and black, don't like soy milk in coffee) and a couple of small fruit smoothie things.

    I have trouble at work since I have to take stuff with me, but I am trying to cut down on bread so I can lose a few pounds, so we will see what I take with me in the morning.

My bmi is 18.3 and i always eat about this much everyday....i don't do much exercise (although i am going to start doing jogging again!) do u think i have a high metabloic rate....interested on your views if u have any time! Also does my diet look balanced?

My bmi is 18.3 and i always eat about this much everyday....i don't do much exercise (although i am going to start doing jogging again!) do u think i have a high metabloic rate....interested on your views if u have any time! Also does my diet look balanced?
    I don't think it looks like a lot of food. The only thing that I don't see are a lot of protein sources...I think you should include more beans, nuts, and fake meats (if you're into that) in your diet and then it would nicely balanced.

    Breakfast: granola with walnuts and vanilla soy milk
    strawberries

    Mid-day: banana cookie Larabar

    Dinner: gumbo (chickpeas, rice, tomatoes and greens...not sure if it was kale or or what exactly)
    a banana

    I have an apple in the fridge for later tonight as well =)

    today -

    late breakfast - tofu scramble w/lite tofu, garlic, portabella mushrooms, fresh hot chunky salsa, spices/soymilk served with avacado slices. cup of coffee w/soycreamer.

    snack/lunch - toasted itallian bread w/earth balance. handful of omega nut mix - cranberries, walnuts, pepitas, almonds. cup of tea w/soymilk. few pappadums. 1 peice of dark chocolate.

    dinner - big salad made w/butter lettuce, fresh salsa, avacado slices, grape tomatoes, picholine olives, croutons, boca chicken patty and dijon dressing.

    i probably didn't need to eat dinner since i ate toast so late...but i was hungry still.

    edit to add - few peices of dark chocolate and a late night snack of 8 reduced fat triscuits (woven wheat crackers) with 2 slices soycheese, heinz sour pickles and a tiny can of V8 essential antioxidents blend (tomato-veg juice thing)

    Breakfast:
    Koala Crisp cereal with soy milk

    Lunch:
    10 Japanese-style rice crackers with Tartex, tomato slices, and olives
    Half a glass of pop
    A few dates

    Supper:
    6 inch veggie sub
    Some baked chips

    Evening snacks (not all at once):
    A few handfuls of peanuts
    A few bites of roasted potatoes
    Baked tortilla chips with salsa
    Cup of mint-green tea

    I'm fighting off the flu. I've had half a can of five bean soup, lots of orange juice, several handfuls of pumpkin seeds, and several Cold Eeze zinc gumballs. Than I read that zinc therapy is useless against the flu. The gumballs are also not vegan.
