There are two main kinds of animal crackers I know of. There a version that comes in a little red box with a string made to look like a circus cart with pictures of animals in cages. Inside the box were some sweet buiscits/cookies in the shape of animals.
I used to love them as a kid, but the very idea of endorsing any such material now sickens me. This specific type is produced by Nabisco, which I believe to be a ConAgra company which I avoid like the plague. I once found some "Natural organic" popped corn. After indulging in some, I decided I'd read what was on the package out of boredom. Sure, they were vegan, but how sick I felt after finding a ConAgra logo.
There were another type I used to indulge in as a child were Frosted Animal Crackers. They were the same sweet cookies, but had been coated in pink and white frosting with colourful sprinkles.
animal crackers are here => http://www.stauffers.net/identifier.asp

For breakfast, I had my oatmeal cookie cereal (I ran out of egg replacer for my cookies and they turned out crumbly, but perfect for a granola-y breakfast food) with rice milk.
I am now having some awesome puttanesca inspired by a recipe I found on with Wiki cookbook. I even broke the bank to get some kalamata olives. They are one of my big weaknesses. Oh, and I made some spinach (I feel I need the iron) with balsamic vinegar as a side.
I cook too much food every time I make a meal. Old habits die hard and I'm used to cooking for 7 instead of one. So my meals tend to suffice for lunch and dinner. I have been pigging out since becoming vegan because nobody else in the house eats my food anymore. I used to stop eating when the food was gone, but now there seems to be more than enough food left over from one meal and I end up eating it all somehow.
so far...
Scheese spread & wafers
Pineapple & banana juice

No doubt the usual choc-fest will happen later

a random slice of vegan cheese that needed eating so i could wash the tub
i havent even had tea yet, sigh i'll never start this diet, on the bright side i've done an hours keep fit session today so not too terrible...

yesterday...
breakfast: grits w/ ricemilk & earth balance
lunch: was exactly dinner from the night before (salad & pizza) plus coffee
snack: big chocolate chip walnut cookie
dinner: pecan crusted tofu, hoppin' john w/ tempeh, corn nuggets w/ ketchup, beer (I felt bad cause we ate at a restaurant that doesn't have a whole lot of vegan menu items, but things are easily adapted and the staff is knowledgable. The tofu normally comes with a mustard cream sauce and the waitress ordered it w/o but it came out smothered in it anyway and then I had to wait almost ten minutes to get her attention b/c she was helping a table of 10 that had just sat down and my poor boyfriend sat there staring at his meal b/c he felt weird. Rawr. At least the food was really good once it was right!)

^^ i work in an office and just tend to graze (ok make that pig out!) all day long
Sarah - Its the worst thing working in an office isn't it - I used to get starving hungry about 10.30 in the morning due to intense boredom and clock watching.
I have not been feeling hungry today (shocking I know) and after reading the thread about BBC experiment regarding vegans tasting better do not think I will be able to eat ever again!
So far I have had:
Two bagels with soya spread, marmite and chopped up cucumber
Bagel with peanut butter

1 piece of vegan chocolate banana cake.

Breakfast: honeydew melon, pear, lemon yoghurt (Alpro with rice syrup, lemon zest and lemon juice - yum :P)
Lunch: pitta with salad and guacamole and far too many digestives.
Dinner: simple - Homemade houmous and wholemeal pitta to dip.
Due to getting up way early and a surprise visit from the parents, today's eating was much more often than normal...

lunch: escalivada (grilled veggies w/ pita points), black bean soup
snack: three small pieces multigrain bread w/ hummus, baby greens & mini cucumber slices

Lite wheat bread(tends to be vegan) with spaghetti sauce, mozzarella, red pepper sauce and pepperoni grilled in my sandwich grill.
French Fries
Mango smoothie of frozen mangoes and rice milk
Pickled beets
1 piece of bunny shaped chocolate from Big Lots, happened to be vegan :-D Yes I have had them since Easter.
Lite bread with olive bruschetta, mozzarella and pepperoni
Smoothie with mangoes, rice milk and ALIVE protein powder.
Probably more later, I am being aware of my salt intake and am trying to reduce, my legs are killing me. The french fries were the worst, then the pepperoni, but the cheese is suprisingly not that bad.
I know when I make cheese it takes a lot of salt.
it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble
Rice, rice, some baked beans, and more rice.
I'm trying to finish up all my rice ASAP. I didn't realise I made so much.
For breakfast, I had rice with some cinnamon, maple syrup, and almond milk. I wondered how it would taste with rice milk though. It being rice... and all...
I had the darndest time trying to find a can-o-beans that didn't contain lard! Why do they add lard to beans? Just bake the beans, can 'em, and leave the rest to me! Then there's the whole ordeal with the sugars/flavouring! Oy vey! One thing I thought I could rely on once I went vegan turned out to be a total nightmare! I just want one measly can of beans that contains no animal materials whatsoever.
A pack of ginger biscuits and 2 pints of cider
Does anyone else see all the posts about kale and brocolli and think ?
