    That's funny - I was exactly the same with my parents, the only biscuits they ever bought were Digestives *zzzzzzzzzzzzz* And not even the kind with chocolate on them I'm starting to eat them again now but for a time I couldn't face them.

    Well I haven't eaten half of it yet so I'm cheating here...........but today's food is:

    Mug of Cocoa with a little bit of Alpro 'cream', a few chocolate chips and some chocolate sprinkles and a couple of Digestive biscuits.

    1 Apple.

    Leek, Potato and Pearl Barley Soup (a staple in our house ).

    1 Apple.

    Veggie Ribs (*drool*), thick Chips, Peas and Plamil Mayonnaise .

    A SMALL (*reminder to self!*) bowl of Vanilla Swedish Glace ice-cream with Chocolate Sprinkles.

    Chamomile Tea before bed.

    Today's only early, so yesterday I ate:

    Crispbreads with peanut butter and one with marmite, half a grapefruit

    Salad with chickpeas, rocket, cucumber, tomato and lemon juice, a plum

    Thai salad with tofu - the recipe is here and it is totally yummy:

    I really recommend it. You can use other colour peppers, carrots, or anything else cruchy in the salad but it must contain swede. It's really really good.

    I am recording and calculating my daily nutrient intake- it's an assignment for my nutrition class. Here is what I had yesterday, along with the nutrients we were required to record. I'm wondering why the professor didn't ask us to record vitamin d, b12, or E... but I recorded d and b12 anyway for my own curiosity.

    The only vitamin I fell slightly short on was Vitamin A (so I went out and bought some yams today!), but everything else I got way more than enough of. I'm wondering how my omnivore classmates are doing...

    breakfast:
    strawberry soy yogurt
    1/2 cup orange juice (calcium fortified)

    lunch:
    veggies in mini wheat pockets (cabbage, carrots, tofu)
    with sesame sauce

    early evening:
    2 vegetable patties (string beans, carrots, peas, etc) No bun.

    I went to Epcot yesterday, part of Disney World! It was so much fun, but I was pretty worried about what I was going to eat, as we went to the Magic Kingdom about a month ago and the pickins were very slim. Epcot has the World Showcase though, with ethnic food in each "country", so it worked out really well.

    breakfast: kashi golean w/ ground flax, raspberries & soy milk

    snack: three bean salad

    For lunch we went to Biergarten, in the Germany pavilion. I was not hopeful for my options, since German food is generally so meat-and-potato-based (or at least that's our American opinion of it). But surprisingly the buffet had plenty for me to eat, and I left STUFFED. Food included cold green cabbage w/ caraway seeds, carrot & raisin salad, wax bean & baby carrots, greens w/ tarragon-mustard dressing, sliced beets, spelt w/ cucumber & dill, pretzel rolls, warm red cabbage, rosemary roasted potatoes & garlic with curry ketchup & sweet mustard, pineapple chutney, fruit salad, and applesauce. And a HUGE German wheat beer. Holy crap, I can't believe I ate all that in one sitting.

    We ate dinner at the Japan pavilion, sat at the sushi bar. Started with edamame and a green salad w/ tomatoes & ginger dressing, then had a cucumber roll and another roll that had tempura-fried sweet potatoes and some kind of shredded gourd. And a Kirin beer.

    After the park closed we went to ESPN club to watch the A's/Mariners game. Ate some seasoned fries so the bartender wouldn't get mad at us for taking up space.

    black coffee

    You know, I was wondering that myself, and I didn't ask. I was so hungry, and all the employees were Japanese and didn't speak English that well, and that was the only veggie roll other than a plain cucumber roll or avocado roll. I should have asked. Anyone know for sure?

    When I looked back at my food record, I realized I miscalculated... I actually had 430% for B12! And yes, all from fortified soymilk, soy yogurt, and nutritional yeast!

    These are all things I normally eat. The only difference is that right now I'm avoiding foods that are high in calories with not many nutrients- like cookies- because I'm trying to lose some weight.

    Jamboxrocks, it sounds like you had a wonderful day at EPCOT. The food sounds yummy!

    As for me:

    breakfast:
    -oatmeal with soymilk, Earth Balance, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon
    -some nasty Green Plant drink from Trader Joe's

    lunch:
    -leftover barley and veggie soup

    dinner (I was really hungry):
    -a LOT of swiss chard (my first time having it; I REALLY like it!)
    -6 small tostones with dipping sauce made out of ketchup, "mayo" and onion and garlic powder
    -a really big sloppy joe with mushrooms on a wheat kaiser roll and another sloppy joe on a small hard bun
    -2 glasses of peach tea

    And now I'm snacking on a box of dried currants.

    My appetite is definitely back! lol

    Breakfast: multigrain bagel with tofutti cream cheese

    Snack (11 a.m.): 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

    Snack (3:30 p.m.): bag of prezels

    Supper: will be vegan sushi

    I hate Wednesdays, I only have 1 break between 9:30 and 4:30, so I never get time for a decent lunch

    -Whole wheat Blueberry bran muffin
    -a little more watermellon

    Later: I'm either going to have popcorn with EB or a bagel with hummus. Not sure yet, but I am getting hungry.

    My mom did a lot of cooking today (leftovers for days!). So I basically ate the same things for lunch as for my evening meals. Ha.

    Breakfast:
    Blueberry muffin
    Coffee with soy milk

    Lunch:
    Foul medammas (partially mashed fava beans with tahini)
    Homemade hashbrowns
    Cup of lentil soup with lots of garlic and onions (my fav!)
    Mini tomatoes

    Evening snacks (grazing all evening):
    More lentil soup
    2 bowls of Soy Delicious' Mint Marble Fudge soy ice cream----mmmmm!!!
    Foul with pita bread
    Hashbrowns and ketchup
    1/2 banana
    Tea with sugar

    Breakfast: half a bagel with the last of my tofutti cream cheese

    Snack: 2 cups fresh squeezed orange juice

    Lunch: vegan sushi

    Supper: will be tomato soup with some of my homemade 100% whole wheat bread, YUM!

    veggiegirl - i love amys no cheese pizza! i really wish they had the vegan spinach rice crust w. soy cheese one in my area to try.

    breakfast:
    raspberry soy yogurt

    lunch:
    1 sweet potato with smart balance
    bowl of Amy's lentil and vegetable soup
    1 cup berry boost smoothie

    dinner:
    2 vegetable patties, no bun

    snack during class:
    apple
    banana
    2 T cashew butter

    later I think I will make some noodles (I'm craving marinara sauce)
    I eat nutritional yeast by the spoonful.

    2 red delicious apples

    2 big plates of stir-fry veggies (had broccoli, cauliflower, red pepper strips, bamboo, water chestnuts, baby corn, & mushrooms)
    1/2 a sweet potato with smart balance light

    Caramel brownie Luna bar
    Diet raspberry soda

    packet of sesame ginger "tofu 2 go" (pre-marinated tofu), with ketchup for dipping

    1 plum, 3 small oranges

    crunchy peanut butter & sugar-free blackberry jam on whole wheat bread
    8oz. peach soy yogurt

    egg-drop soup with corn (made from a mix, minus the egg, obviously)
    10 or so seaweed rice crackers

    I bought them on-line at Vegan Essentials. They are soooooo good! It's really hard not to eat the whole 12-pack all at once. I had 6 one night and 6 another night though - because they're quite high in calories and fat. But they're gooooood!!

    Today:

    2 cups of coffee with Silk creamer.

    1 bowl of Organic Corn Pops with Vanilla Soy Milk.

    8 Vegetable Crackers topped with Guacamole and a slices of Smoked Tofu.

    1 Hot Chocolate (made on water).

    1 Veggie Burger - Yves Garden Patty, Vegan Mayo, Tofutti Mozarella Slice, Hothouse Tomato Slices, Organic Baby Arugula Leaves, Ketchup - all on a bun.

    30g plain Kettle Chips.

    Cup of Organic Earl Grey tea with soy milk.

    2 Wildberry Buckwheat Waffles with Raspberry & Champagne Jam.

    1 Hob Nob (last one from the packet).

    dinner:
    -veggie burrito
    -tater tots

    i spent money i shouldnt have on dinner but i was too hungry to care. i was pissed off i was living off of pickles all day lol.

    Yeah, me too! They do have one soy cheese one where I live, but it has casine in it. However, I read online that about an hour away from where I live, there is a vegan-owner pizza place with both cheeseless pizza and pizza with vegan soy cheese! I really want to go there at some point!

    yesterday:

    breakfast: 1 yellow grapefruit, salad and a homemade roll. - all organic.

    lunch: rice noodles with peanutbuttersauce, mangosalsa, salad with cabbage, grapefruit and almonds, salad with green lettuce and cucumber and baked roots. - soo good. and all organic.

    dinner: tomatosalad with cherrytomatoes, black olives, red onions, basil, extra virgin olive oil and salt + pepper. it was fantastic.

    snacks: some peppermint chocolate, one metre of organic liqourise, some organic pineapplejuice, some banana soymilk.

    today:

    breakfast: a mango, some banana soymilk. leftovers from the tomato salad.

    snack: hot chocolate made with almond milk, valrhona chocolate powder and some raw cane sugar. sooo good.

    going to a friends house later, too cook come nice food and drink some nice cocktails

    Oh! Welll if you ever make it down to Boston, since you really arnt that far away, one of the outside areas is Allston and TJs Scallywaggles (use to be TJs House of Pizza) in June went completely vegan - so its a completely vegan pizza/sub shop that has all you 'traditional' pizzas/calzones/subs etc. its absolutely amazing!

    a few bites of fruit salad
    orange juice

    snack:
    2 unfrosted pop tarts
    Odwalla Antioxidance

    lunch:
    12 ( ) pieces veggie sushi (carrots, avocado, cucumber)
    peanut butter crackers

    dinner:
    2 vegan sloppy joes on wheat kaiser rolls
    a very small portion of brocolli with Earth Balance (my son ate most of it)

    Why thank you I try to eat really balanced and healthy while still keeping it interesting. I'm sure we all do. I enjoy reading everyone elses too...makes me feel normal, and gives me new things to try.

    Today looks almost exactly like yesterday for me...so until tomorrow...
