If you were stuck on a deserted island and could eat one food (or combinations of food such as a certain type of sandwich etc.) what would it be and por que?
I'm not quite sure what my food of choice would be as of yet, need more time to ponder, but I figured I'de give you all the question and chance to answer in the mean time.

Re: One Food for the Rest of Your Life
I'd only be able to eat one kind of food??? I think I'd just find the nearest cliff and....
actually, I'd have to say pasta salad, with stuff like marinated artichoke hearts and olives and tomatoes and bell peppers and croutons. I think I could eat that forever 'Course, I don't know how those ingredients would be available to a deserted island...
1. Veggie Garam masala made with lentils (or aduki& mung beans)
2. Sushi rice (the stuff thats all sticky and glutenous)
3. Oatmeal
4. Marmite
5. Mangos mmmmm
6. Peanut butter
7. OATMILK!
8. Hemp loaf
9. Strawberry vegan cake (kinda like flapjack but with sticky jam and icing *drools*--I've only ever had one but it's officially the nicest thing I have EVER tried. I want more but feel guilty.)
10. Dried pineapple chunks
Stir-fry. That way I'll actually have lots of different food available: brown rice, soy sauce, vegetarian duck, tofu, cashews, mushrooms (of all kinds), bok choy, broccoli, bell peppers, ginger, turmeric, garlic, lemon juice, onions, cilantro, mung bean sprouts, basil, and peanuts. Now I'm getting hungry, but I have to go to bed!
well, I always thought i could live on some fresh fruit (grapes and strawberries, maybe some pear or mango), fresh veggies (bit of peppers, tomatos, spinach) olives, olive oil and a baguette. My favorite snacky foods. Throw on some nuts and it would practically be healthy!
i could probably live on curry too. But eventually it would start to taste bland i wuld imagine, as you build up a tollerance to spicy indian foods (or at least I have).
Wholegrain bread, brown rice, avacado, tomatoes, spinach, Indian dahl, oranges, blueberries, and strawberries. ...Oh, yeah, walnuts and cashews too.
I think you just described my favourite foods too (minus the dates). I love thick cut wholegrain sourdough bread topped with lashings of soft organic avocado *drools. I ate this for lunch today
French bread and sunflower Pure spread. I think I'd get sick of anything else.
Actually, like Geoff, stick some chips in there, and a smidgen of ketchup.
actually, ive changed my mind.......i think cashews would make me sick after a while........um i really don't know now........so much food........ ...................i really love donuts....but they would make me ill. Oh but i really love peanut satay vegies from a chinese take-away shop along with some vegie spring rolls......so i think ill say that for now, untill i decide to change my mind again....i shall keep you informed (bet you can't wait for that one )
