Exclamation Need help/suggestions about frozen dinners

I normally bring my lunch to work and bring some sort of frozen dinners with me. I mostly get the Amy's and other veggie organic type stuff. My question is that it seems to be hard to find vegan frozen entrees with any variety. Does anyone know of any kinds that I could look for or buy?

Thanks so much for your help!

How about next time you make dinner at home, you can make extra and freeze it yourself? Take it to work the next day, or whenever, and pop it in the microwave?

I have to ask you, since I'll be starting work next week (first time as a vegan worker!), do you let your frozen entrees thaw out in a fridge/counter before eating it on your break? I work in a small scale store, so I have access to a nice cold walk-in fridge with a special "employees lunch shelf" and also a commercial freezer that I might be able to use.

    I microwave them.

But isn't microwaving a bit dodgy!

I microwave mine, too. But I would like to learn more -- why would it be dodgy, unless the microwave door was leaking or something...? *sincerely asked*

There are threads on here about microwaves and toxicity.

Personally, I would *never* microwave anything nor allow one in my home or allow one to be used for anyone I care about when preparing food. Seriously.

i eat raw at work unless i can heat something with the hot water that comes out of our coffee machine tap..(oatmeal, some noodles, rice).

microwaving food has been found to decrease the nutritional content, plus microWAVES them self (the frequency) are not good for you.... think free-radical causing badness

VeggieGirl, i suggest making yourself big batches of salads with nuts and tofu and good stuff like that, then taking a container to work everyday....frozen meals are no good for you!

WOW! I am VERY glad to learn this. It was much more convenient to microwave, but OH WELL!

I'll search for this topic on other threads to learn more.

    Thank you!
