This is a mainstream mag, and today, in the Aug/Sept issue, the leading articles are about preventing 10 unhealthy conditions, such as diabetes, osteo, cardiovascular, etc, and their food advice is to eat plenty of fruit, veges, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds, flaxseed oil, and reduce or eliminate animal protein and fats, eliminate margarine, use soymilk instead of cows or goats milk, take miso, tempeh, tofu, etc. Of course at the end they suggest a few dishes of fish each week, but we can ignore that! They go into a lot of detail over several pages, and it's really encouraging to see this mag on sale at normal newsagent shops, rather than having to go to a health store.
