    Default 21st annual vegetarian festival

Just wondering if anyone has attended one of these festivals in Toronto. Apparently it is one of the largest vegetarian fests in North America. If I have the time, I may fly up and check it out

    Tasha,
The Toronto Vegetarian Associations festival is enjoyable to attend in every way that I can think of. Our family has attended for about 15 years and we reside about 200 KM away. The Association is comprised of a great bunch of people and they go out of their way to put on an event that matches anything out there anywhere, as far as I can tell. There are very interesting and uplifting speakers every year as well as a mix of new and repeat vendors that are extreamly helpful to the movement. Not to mention the free samples and meals that are available at a very reasonable cost. Last year the creator of the daily comic Bizzaro was there with his wife, we listened to his enjoyable presentation and had some conversation with them afterwards. It is nice to know that there is someone out there with his values every day needling the non-converted. Joe Connely, of the Veg News Magazine comes up every year and as you may know he has his finger on the pulse of what is going on in the movement in the United States as well as other parts of the world.
I am always uplifted, and would not consider missing this event.
    Sorry for the late reply.

From what I have read - it sounds like it would definately be worth visiting and if I could afford the plane ride, I would visit too!

Here in Vancouver, we have the Tastes of Health expo, which is quite small and not very exciting.

I would love to have something like the Toronto Vegetarian Festival here.

I'd love to take a friend to this to maybe give them some encouragement in the veggie direction.
