    Default Northwestern Ontario

Any vegans in Northwestern Ontario? I'm from Thunder Bay, and I also lived in Atikokan for 18 years before going to school. I don't think that there is really any vegan friendly stores around here, so I was wondering if anyone else knew of any.

There sure are. I know another vegan in Thunder Bay. I live in Sioux Lookout myself and there are plenty of vegetarians and a couple vegans here. I know vegans in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances as well. Oh, I almost forgot. I know one in Red Lake too.

    Cheers

I forgot to post veggie friendly places in thunder bay. The only one I know is the Organic Garden Cafe on Fort William. I haven't been to Thunder Bay in a while, so I can't guarentee it is still open. Oriental restaurants are my only other guess.

Sorry I can't be of more help

It's sad that you know vegans in my town and I don't. LOL. I've never heard of that restaurant before. Is everything there vegan?

Well, I only know one vegan in T-Bay and she used to be a co-worker of mine. But, Thunder Bay has about 120 000 people, a university and a college so there has got to be quite a few vegans and vegetarians. But they may be hard to find.

As for Organic Garden Cafe it is not entirely vegan but it is "vegan friendly."

I found this on the web:

the ORGANIC GARDEN CAFE 415 Fort William Road 344 1917
where the ELITE eat - (directly across from the MOOSE HALL inside the Blue Waterfront Winery Building) OPEN TUESDAY to SATURDAY 12 Noon to 6 pm

I'm from North Bay....not quite as high up as you, but still North enough to call North
We have a few restos with vegan-friendly options. Noodle House, Cafe Chicago, Grecos Pizza, Lee's China Garden, Kabuki House, Dave's Green Papaya, Momma Poons.
