    Default Tortilla wraps?

Does anybody know how to make tortilla wraps (or any similar kind of flat bread wrap thingy?).
I'm trying to find out how to make my own without salt or preservatives etc, but when I search for recipes online all I find are recipes for different fillings to put in ready bought wraps.

How exactly are you searching for them?

"tortilla recipe" in google gives lots of results, most look veganisable.

Here is a recipe for one:

Don't know what would happen if you left out the salt but you could try it.

As far as I know salt is only critical for bread with yeast in it, so I would have thought you could leave it out of this - let us know how you get on please soyabean!

ETA oops, just noticed date on original message

Yeah but bread tastes crap without salt! It's just flour...

Salt in bread has a function beyond taste for them yeasties Harpy? That's news to me.

Speaking of tortillas themselves, do most of you just assume they are safe for us when, say, out at a restaurant?

I think the salt is supposed to limit the extent to which the yeast makes the dough rise - if you don't put it in it rises too much and then collapses. Or something like that. Certainly I've had some rather peculiar results after cutting back too much on the salt, but I should probably experiment with using less yeast, and stuff.
