Favorite breakfast is at a place called Whole World in Clintonville, OH! They have this amazing dish called the big breakfast. Consisting of veggie sausage, tofu scramble, potato hash (potatos, corn, broccoli, onions, green pepps, etc.) and an english muffin. OMG!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it If anyone out there from Whole World...hurry....please re-open soon We miss u!
Porridge with ginger and turmeric.
lv
scrambled tofu is always my favorite brekkie (although i eat this not just at breakfast time) but if im not in the mood to have a 'cooked' breakfast a simple thick slice of toast with lashings of dairy free butter and a good dollop of jam goes down really well followed by a nice hot black coffee
We all love animals. So why do we call some "pets" and others "dinner?" ~k.d. lang
Oh stop! You're making me hungry!! That sounds so delicious too! I love a good homemade jam on a thick slice of homemade toast. I made some strawberry-rhubarb jam recently that was soooo good. I found this particular tofu scramble on the internet somewhere and really liked the combination of foods. It had an amazing flavor.
You know what else makes a great breakfast? I took a bowl of hot oatmeal and topped it with sliced bananas, soy milk and a special topping that I made. The topping consisted of equal amounts of walnuts, flax seeds and wheat germ mixed up in a blender to a fine crumble mixture. I put this in a tight container in the frig and use it to top off soy yogurt, cereals or anything else that comes to mind and it's very healthy too.. rich in omegas! I also added a wee bit of maple syrup on top. It makes a very satisfying breakfast and is packed full of nutrition, especially with a glass of OJ!

My favourite breakfast/brunch is
- vegan sausage-mix patties (the dry mix that you add water to)
- baked beans
- fried mushrooms (in veg oil, with a teaspoon of dried herbs)
- tomatoes (fresh or tinned) with a splash of balsamic vinegar
- mug of tea with some Oatly milk
I think I could eat this every day, and it'd never get old!
Fresh apple slices dipped in baked oatmeal.
Blended Nanner and Chickory Root
Berries n' fresh pressed almond milk
Homemade sourdough bread (or regular)
Muffins (spelt, rye, whole wheat, kamut, brown rice...flour, homemade only)
Apple pie pancakes (or any variation made with spelt, rye, whole wheat, kamut, brown rice...flour - homemade of course)
Quinoa, buckwheat, barley, spelt, kamut - (whole grains)
Steel cut oats
Freshly squeezed juices, fresh smoothies
Baked rosemary homefries (though never for me - but I loove to cook for family/friends)
Latkas (Again, not my thing but I love making them!)
Fresh made fruit salad
Honestly, whatever I feel like making - and whatever those who I'm cooking for feel like eating - I love a challenge!
I hardly ever time to really cook or make anything in the morning but breakfast is really important for me, So I shoot for a pretty high calorie breakfast of
Coffee obviously. Preferably guzzled rather then sipped. Black from my coffee press.
A glass of soy milk if I don't put it in the coffee.
Breakfast staples: Peanut butter on a bagel or toast. A banana if not a glass of orange juice.
Beans on toast, piece of fruit
Bowl of oatmeal with banana a dollop of agave nectar and cinnamon if I get bored of my regiment of peanut butter toast and baked beans.
Scrambled tofu with spinach on the weekends.
Speaking of spaghetti on toast, besides that being a brilliant Idea, I'm considering putting spaghetti with some type of vegan meat ball in a pita pocket now. Spaghetti pocket, the things this forum makes me think up.
That sounds good. I want to try spaghetti tacos.
My 'weekend breakfast' (i.e. not bran flakes :P) is a veggie sausage or two sandwiched in a toasted bagel with marg & marmite.... Some garlic mushrooms on the side if I really need a treat!
I also really love frying up a mixture of onions, oyster mushrooms & tofu with the spice mix in the Veganomicon scrambled tofu recipe...

Just lately I've got a thing for semolina for brekkie
soy chorizo!!!!

Cinnamon buns are my favorite!!!!
Weekday things...
Coffee w/soymilk and a peanut butter sandwich
or
Luna bar
or bagel
or soy bacon on toast
some fruit - usually a banana and maybe a peach to go with it
i'm alternating between green smoothies and porridge for breakfast at the mo. today i had porridge with grated raw apple in and pumpkin & sunflower seeds.
...oh, and i like shredded wheat with warmed soy milk and mashed banana on top.
Rice Krispies Cereal w/ Vanilla Soy Milk Yum.
Porridge with agave nectar.
Scrambled tofu on toast.
Smoothies- either blueberry/soy milk or frozen fruit with OJ
Chocolate stars cereal.
Hmm, all this bagel talk may kick off my bagel addiction again- bagels with chili hummus and marinated tofu. So good, even my cat used to want it!
Well a couple of years ago it would have been black coffee, chewing gum and possibly a cigarette.
Not any more:
Porridge: So good soya milk and some lovely oats
Toast and jam
NAKK raw food bar, NAKD protein bar if I've been swimming
Cinnamon bagel
Nana's Cookies (Oatmeal and Raisin are great for breakfast)
Triflfe (I Know it sounds strange but give it a try)
Christmas pudding
Oats, milk and fruit.
Porridge made with hot water (I have to make it this way in work as my boss wont allow any food that is warm, smells or requires cutlery). And I have to eat it without him seeing
Sausage and bacon with syrup or a ketchup/tabasco mix for dipping, along with tofu scramble, pancakes with butter and syrup and a little drizzle of chocolate syrup, and then biscuits and gravy. And then a little plate of hash browns, and on the side an onion bagel with cream cheese, tabasco and pepperoncinis with a dash of lemon pepper.
Best. Breakfast. Ever.
Either this wallpaper goes, or I do.
I totally love breakfast! Don't know if I could choose just one. Top 5?
1. Breakfast Burrito with scramble tofu, peppers, onions, and Gimme Lean sausage
2. Banana Pancakes
3. Bagel with Toffuti Cream Cheese
4. Kashi GoLean Crisp Toasted Berry Crumble cereal with soy milk
5. Oatmeal with flax seeds, raisins, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Yum!
1. Soy yoghurt - fruit or vanilla.
2. Frozen blueberries, raspberries.
3. Apples.
4. Smoothie (fruit, fruit juice, soy milk, yoghurt, wheatgerm, walnuts...)
Black tea with every breakfast.
in cold weather: oatmeal with cinnamon, raisins & peanut butter
in warm weather: frozen banana smoothie with cocoa powder, peanut butter & vanilla
Brown sauce is pretty damned amazing, I have to say!
But my question is what brand of Bran Flakes do you buy that's vegan? I used to love them but the kelloggs ones have honey in them, at least they did the last time I checked
Also, I'm loving all the mad and wonderful breakfast suggestions!
Depending on how much time I have and how early it is I usually have porridge with hemp seeds and blueberrries, marmite on toast, just regular toast, or sometimes cereal with rice milk (I love those raspberry oat clusters that Jordans do ). Tofu scramble and baked beans may sometimes also be in order!
Smoothies with any combination of fruit, or beans on toast...and always a mug of tea :-D
Mh... Fresh Orange juice for little time. Else, scrambled tofu or silken tofu, mixed with rice and soy sauce (and optional veggies). Or pancakes with strawberry jam or chocolate cream, yum! Or rice with bean sprout soup... Or fresh bread with veganaise, nutritional yeast flakes, gherkins and tomatos. A lot of things, really!
These ones look vegan: http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-...nic__500g.html
I think I've seen similar ones in health food shops but wouldn't swear to it as I always buy muesli
A simple pleasure, my favourite breakfast at the moment is wholemeal multigrain toast with spread and thick cut marmalade and a cup of coffee. During the week I start quite early so I have to make do with flapjacks when I get to work which is not ideal.
Tea and toast, but if I have the time to prepare it I prefer fried mushrooms on toast.
always:
2 double espresso or one HUGE cup of coffee.
large glass of fruit puree and vanilla soy milk
banana
often:
potatos, onions and green pepper in my hot air cooker. (like a steamer, keeps all vitamins in the foods but uses only a tblsp oil to make 2 lbs. result? fried-like consistency but very good for you )
or
Im not crazy about tofu so I skip the veggie scramble in favor for maple style beans and whole grain toast.
or
sweet salad (iceberg with fruits and a lemon/maple syrup
dressing.) with nuts
tofu scramble is what im addicted to at the moment.
Vegan french toast made with banana instead of egg is absolutely incredible.
How do you go about making that? just mash up banana with some soy milk?
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
My favorite vegan breakfast would always consist of :
Silk Very Vanilla
Oatmeal
mixed fruit toppings
Carrot!
I actually use coconut milk for the vegan french toast, although soy would work, too. You can get the recipe on video at the following page. Hope you enjoy: Healthy Vegan Breakfast Techniques
thanks!
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
--Vegan homemade bagels (my mom gave me the recipe along w/her bread machine that I don't recall her ever using in the entire 20 years I lived with her) w/peach and apricot spread.
--cup of coffee
--smoothie made from mango, pineapple, almond milk and some vegan protein powder (this was a little too filling for me...lol, I am not much for smoothies but needed to get rid of the mango)
“If our love is only a will to possess, it is not love.”--Thich Nhat Hanh
Provomel yogurt and granola
Linseed bread with PB or Natex
Fried tomatoes, mushrooms and onions with veg choice sausage n toast
Cinnamon bagel and tofutti cream cheese
Tofu scramble with garlic mushrooms, toast and tommy k
Oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, wheat germ and a little brown sugar.
Oat bran with soy milk, especially when it's cold, or I want some comfort food. I also like bran flakes with soy milk for something simple. When I have the time, and want to go fancy, then I'll make French toast.
Czujesz się wolny i robisz co chcesz. Jesteś piratem!
Fried tofu with chillies n salt, then a vegan scone with swedish glace.
:D :)
At the moment my favourite thing to have for breakfast is a smoothie! Two bananas, spinach, hemp protein powder and some frozen berries. If I'm really feeling something sweet, I'll add some syrup or agave.
The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
Lately I'm digging...
Oatmeal made with soy milk with raisins and a teaspoon of agave nectar (all you need!)
Toasted soy cheese and tomato sandwiches on English muffins
Baked beans, toast with jam, and hashbrowns
Frozen waffles with syrup (I found a great vegan brand that is only 1.99 per box of 6---SUCH A BARGAIN! Considering most vegan, organic ones are like 3-6 dollars a box. Oh, the brand is Our Compliments organic line, available at Sobeys for the Canadians).
Peace, love, and happiness.
