when i got married three years ago we had our "reception" with a few good friends in The Feast in Truro. Archie Brown's in penzance is okay too. st ives's is probably the safe bet where you'll get decent began food. cornwall is lovely, i hope you have a good time!

Whats that ? You would prefer to stay in a cottage, well why not stay in Wisteria cottage where vegetarian and vegan diets are also catered for. Vegan times are changing.

re: Boscastle floods. Everytime I see the footage of the cars floating away I think of the poor dogs that were left in their cars, while their owners went shopping. What awful deaths for them, it haunts me

I have stayed here with 3 others that are veggie and they loved the veggie food and the vegan food is also top notch, for the owners nothing is to much trouble to help you out and the private beach at the end of the lane is amazing.

Just like something from a smugglers movie.....sorry girls I saw no captain jack sparrow or Johnny Depp look a likes on the cove though.

But I stayed their when a load of us went to the Eden Project very close by.

Comfy rooms well kept, nice cosey laid back and friendly.....

LOL the owners reminded of Tom & Barb from the Goodlife.

I went there today. Had a good choo choo train (well deisel) journey down and it wasn't overly busy. Its well worth a visit, a good day was had.

Food wise, in the one restaurant I tried, there was only one dish labeled vegan, the vegetable paella(I had that), though the soup of the day was vegan, and another dish could be altered to be vegan. When I asked if there was anything else suitable, I was told that they would pretty much knock up whatever you suggest(within reason). Whahey! what a result, those vegan times are changing alright.

When in Cornwall, near St Austell, do pop in.

I went to St.Ives a couple of weekes back and stayed at Making Waves which was a great place. Also i went into Penzance and visited both Archie Brown's and Yams Parlour. Yams was a great place to eat. Also there is a pasty shop in St. Ives that advertises and sells Vegan ones, so i had 2. Well worth a visit.
I had one of those pasties when i went to St Ives 2 years ago, it tasted ok, better than i thought it would taste. Bit on the pale side though i remember that they were huge and soooo filling.

I went again recently, and this time I noticed that there were 3 wines labeled vegan in the restaurant. I ate and very much enjoyed the Homemade organic pie with olives and lentils, which was also clearly labeled vegan.

Oh and the project itself was great to.

Look at post 21 of this thread. You might find some contacts there. And there's a vegan cafe with photography exhibitions amongst those links.

In Cornwall. The bottom left 'leg' of England that sticks out into the sea below Ireland.

(That wasn't terribly geographical, but hopefully you know where I mean!)
