That sounds healthy to me. But weight is just a number. How do you feel? Do you have energy? Is your skin ok and are your hair and nails shiny? Any trouble in the bathroom? Etc. If you feel fine and you're getting a variety of foods, then there should be no need to worry.

If you want specific information on how much protein/fiber/fat etc. to eat, a good book is Becoming Vegan. It's extremely thorough and easy to understand and explains vegan nutrition really well.

I'm 6'2 and I was about that weight for many years until my late twenties. It's on the lower edge of normal of the BMI scale, but shouldn't cause any problems. I found that I could eat what I wanted, but I was so active that I never put on any weight.

I love them. They have been running some great ads in various publications as of late. Especially their "Milk, it is not all it is cracked up to be" ad.

I've gotten fatter since going vegan. lol

I'm probably also deficient in a few vitamins, but when I start using fortified nutritional yeast I expect most of my energy problems to disappear.

Funny you should say that - obviously when I was an anorexic vegan I was a skinny (skinny skinny skinny) vegan, but now I am bigger than I was before I was vegan. I am not fat, but not thin either. I don't weigh myself though.

Just a warning to anyone who is going "vegan" for health reasons, the following does exist in vegan forms:

    - CHOCOLATE
    - ICE CREAM
    - CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES
    - CHOCOLATE CAKE
    - STICKY DATE PUDDING
    (just to name a few)

And, no they are by no means 'healthy' or low calorie .
