Question Healing scars after dog bite

Is there a vegan product that will help scars to fade? My son was bitten by a dog a few weeks ago. The cuts seem to have healed now but he is left with visible scars on his face. They may still have some healing to do so whats the best thing to put on? I've been using iodine tincture.

When I had lots of stretch marks when I first reached puberty, the woman at the make up counter of the drug store suggested pure vitamin E oil. Rub it on in a circular motion every day. It worked!

I heard it's also suppose to work for cold sore scars too.

It could work for dog bites.

Thanks everyone. That Scars-No-More that Artichoke recommended sounds impressive. I have ordered some of that.

Yeah. Every scar tells a story, and makes us that little bit more unique.

Catmogg!!! I'm shocked young lady LOL! I have acne scars and they are awful they I absolutely hate them- although I have others scars which all tell a story and I really don't mind them! It's weird how I don't mind one type but then detest the other type!!

I'm not sure which is more dangerous, but I have various small scars on my hands/arms from cooking and none from fire performing

I am going to order my mom some of that scars no more. She had back surgery a year ago and has a 12 incision scar on her abdomen and she usually wears bikinis. She just was cleared to start balance ball work (she fell again and injured a new part of her back and is back in PT) and wants to lose the belly bulge from the surgery by summer. She has gone from being a size 2-4 before the surgery to a 10!
I might need it after my surgery too so I would like to know how well it works on those types of scars before I try it Mom can be the test subject.

Some of the aromatherapy oils and carrier oils are supposed to be good for scars. That's what I learnt when I did my massage course. I haven't used any on my scars because I am proud of most of them. Especially the tribal initiation scars, when I was inducted into the Leopard Clan on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the Sparrow Clan in Liverpool.

i'm not sure that Scars-No-More is the best option for people living in the UK, i had a look at the website and i'm not doubting its efficacy but the price and postage to the UK doesn't sound worthwhile. there are other products like Bio-Oil and vitamin E which might work just as well.

and BTW my scars definitely do not look good.
