    Default Cofresh Bombay Mix?

    Hi there!

I'm new to being vegan, and during my grocery shop today decided to pick up some Cofresh Bombay Mix that appeared (to me) to be vegan as my one "nice treat". I'm still learning what to look for and what to avoid in the ingredients, especially in fatty foods like these, and it turns out that, after an internet search, they aren't vegan! Just vegetarian.

The website says: Savoury Noodles (86%), Puffed Rice (4%), Moong Beans (3%), Peanuts (3%), Chickpeas (2%) & Peas (2%).

The tesco website says: Gram Flour,Vegetable Oil ,Potato Starch ,Puffed Rice ,Moong Beans ,Peanuts ,Maize Flour ,Spices ,Chick Peas ,Peas ,Salt ,Colours (E102, E124, E142, E110)

What is the non-vegan ingredient? Is it in the colouring?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Like I said, i'm still trying to learn. Should I just opt for pistachios in future?
    Thanks!

Hi, and welcome! Many thing are listed as vegetarian, even if they are vegan. If you look at the site which listed this as vegetarian again, maybe you'll find some more info there...

You had me worried for a moment there.

Click 'dietary information' and it says they are suitable for vegans.
