Default Home Exchange - Castle in England

    Hello All

I live in part of a castle in Stanhope (in the North East of England) in the centre of England's 2nd largest "area of outstanding natural beauty". I am wondering if anybody would be interested in a home exchange for 2 weeks in July/August of this year.

The house dates from 1750 and forms about a third of the original castle with vaulted cellars dating from 1200. There are 3 bedrooms and we share a large garden with 16 acres of woodland surrounded by the castle wall and overlooking the river Wear and the Pennine hills. Stanhope is half an hour from Durham. The North East is full of castles, stately homes and ancient towns and villages so if you you are interested in history or beautiful scenery you will find plenty to do.

We are a vegan family - myself, my wife, a son aged 4 and a daughter aged 18 months.

As well as the house you will have use of two cars.

I have never done this before and never visited the US so it will be a new experience all round!

If anybody is interested I will post some pictures when I get back on Monday.

    Regards

    Julian
