Well it's not really beautiful, or historical, but it's the snow around my place today:

Here's what it looked like at 8am this morning from our balcony:

And at 9am from my work:

There was more by 2pm when I had to go accross the street

And here's some I took on the way home at 5pm

Yeah, you can still go out with a sweater on (or a light jacket if you'll be out for long).

This time last year, I had to wear my winter jacket and mittens!

It's a high of zero here tomorrow and a low of minus 9 tomorrow night. I was going to go out, but if the roads are too icey, I don't know if I want to stress myself out, doing too much driving in it.

It does look pretty nice this morning now that the snow has stopped. It stopped sometime during the night. It's not due to melt anytime soon though, with highs of minus 2 and 3 for the next couple of days

No, I don't work in the 7-11. I work in a store accross the street. I was standing at the front door, when I took that pic.

Yes it's a seagull. I feel so bad for them.....I'm not sure how they get food when their pond, and the ground is frozen.

    this is the spooky monument.
its actually a 1st world war monument which is in the middle of a huge wood. it was once surrounded by some iron railings but these have fallen down now.
its only spooky because of its location - i thought it made a nice picture and had some historical value.
i love its sense of victorian gothic!

its near my in-laws, about 10 miles away.
there are lots of sloe bushes nearby for making sloe gin, bramble bushes for blackberry picking and its just a great wood for walking in - *sigh* wish i had a dog to walk there.

i've also got a picture of a tree stump which looks like a five pointed star, like a pentacle...i'll try to find it.

Had a bee-yootiful sunset up at Keele this evening, took these pictures on my phone, since I lost my digital camera. They don't do it justice.
