Addendum: I went to Kung Tak Lam Shanghai Vegetarian Cuisine, but the Peking Road branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. It's a proper restaurant, not a buffet or anything, and it was fantastic. It also does takeaways. It's on the 7th floor of 1 Peking Road, which is a very swish building. You get views of the whole bay. The food is really great, although there are a few dishes that contain egg whites. These are clearly marked. Menu in Chinese and English.

Most of the time while I was in Hong Kong, I ate at regular restaurants, mainly because they all seem to have not only the one token vegetarian option, but a whole vegetarian section in their menu. And most chinese vegetarians are vegans anyway, so it was very good.

At the airport, almost every restaurant had very yummy vegan food alongside their usual fare. Except for Popeye's, of course.
