Thanks for that info - I'll be sure to watch that program.

Wow, vivisecion is a $40 billion industry? That explains why certain people want it to continue.
Last reminder - this evening on abc-tv at 9.20pm is the Foreign Correspondent program, during which there will be news and pix on the English Animal Rights movement.
Eve
Is there any way to watch this online for those not in Australia?
I imagine it will be available here (last week's programme is already there): http://www.abc.net.au/foreign/broadband.htm
Cool, thanks
I was very emotional while watching this report.
I cried while watching the animals in the labs, and the abuse they suffer.
I was proud to see commited people, protesting week after week to try and put an end to animal suffering.
I couldn't believe that they talked of making tougher laws for animal rights people but no mention of tougher laws for animal abusers.
It was sad to see young people marching for animal torture.
Foreign Correspondent will be repeated on Saturday, 1pm, for anyone who missed it last night.
I'm with you 100%. I watched it this morning as I can't go to bed after watching stuff like that.
I liked the police officer talking about the profile of the protestors: 'They're vegan and there's nothing wrong with that, of course.'
How long will I have to wait to view this? Its not there yet and I'm getting impatientGeoff
Sorry, but I dont think they update the site until late in the week.
Yes it was terribly upsetting. I can understand how frustrating it is for the protesters, having tried writing to their MPs, signing petitions, addressing crowds at demos etc. However, with so much dosh involved, difficult to see it ending. Perhaps the persons to address are the "scientists"?

This programme still isn't there for viewing or am I looking in the wrong place Its possible to read the transcript http://www.abc.net.au/foreign/content/2006/s1612384.htm I'd still like to see the programme though.
Yeah, I want to see this, too. And I have no more patience than MaisiePaisie.
Takes the piss a bit that there is no coverage of this issue in the UK - wonder why that might be
Did no one in Oz digitally record it?
"Danger" could be my middle name … but it's "John"
I emailed the website and this is the reply I got:
Thanks for your query regarding the possibility of our "Animal Farm" story video appearing on our website.
Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions some of our stories are not able to be put online, and I'm afraid this is one of them. However, there is a transcript of the story at http://www.abc.net.au/foreign/content/2006/s1612384.htm that you may be interested in.
Cheers,
