Ooh I will have to try the ice cream! I think I am actually more of an ice cream-aholic than a chocaholic! So far I have only tried swedish glace vanilla ice cream but thought that was lush. Chocolate coated? Even better!!
I don't know about girls, but I'd like to see thicker chocolate. When they first came out a couple of years ago it was really thin and has seemed to have gotten thicker, but it still isn't a proper bite and crack when you bite into it, more of a disintegration. I'd pay 50p more or get 5 in a pack instead of 6 for more chocolate.

Does anyone know of a vegan chocolate-peanut butter bar? I LOVE chocolate and peanut butter together! I guess maybe I could make something - a vegan peanut butter cup type thing? Any ideas?
Well a chocolate muffin with a spoonful of PB inside comes to mind
nooooo, its got to be just chocolate and pb!!! with a praline taste and texture preferably!!
Now I am rubbish at cooking but would it work if I put a ball of peanut butter in a foil cake case then filled it up with melted chocolate and put it in the fridge to harden back up!? I'm making chocolate cornflake cakes tomorrow so I could give it a go!!
stick some pb in the cornflake cakes!! mmmmm.. then send me one!!
what about this....i have a choco ganache recipe...so you make the ganache, let it go really cool and almost hard, poke a little dimple hole into a little ball of ganache, dollop some pb in and close up ganache again.
i'm thinking this would be very rich and certainly decadant but....i'm worth it!
p.s. whats your recipe for cornflake cakes linxie??
...or...melt some dark choc, melt some pb in and let it harden or pour into choc moulds...pb flavoured choccie??

I haven't made either....but that may change shortly!
Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
Right I am going to experiment this weekend ... I'll let you know how I get on!
oh my they look gooooood, well done ivy, pucker up - you deserve a big kiss!!
i just found this thread with recipe from roxy!

Just tried the G&B 85% cocoa bar. Usually i wouldn't touch G&B with a barge pole since the Cadbury sell out, however, i bought it yesterday to try, and i found it way too bitter for my taste.
Lol, thank you cedar!
Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
Despite not liking it i did manage to eat it all.
Why does that not surprise me

What is "Hot Chocolate" and is there one near me?
I'm working hard on getting there to be less of me to love, so chocolate's on the outs right now. Soon, though, I'll have to allow myself a treat perhaps.
Success! I used my left over chocolate cornflake cake mix to make a peanut butter one.
A little mix in the bottom, a big dollop of peanut butter and cover it with more cornflake mix and whack it in the fridge.
So simple but oh my word!!! Deeeelicious!!
This is what else I made today to take to my friend's birthday party tomorrow

i just made some more cornflake cakes and put 2 tablespoons of peanut butter to melt down too.....mmm pb choc cakes...
that's such a good idea, i love chocolate and peanut butter. i used to love those Reese's cups the photos look great, knowing me i won't get round to making them myself though
i bought quite a lot of choccie from the Animal Aid site yesterday: blackberry creams, Organica Spirit of Marrakesh bars and banana and raspberry creme eggs *drool* i'm interested to see what the blackberry creams are like, they're new and i love blackberries, hope they're good.
mmmm...your chocolates sound delicious, gorilla. i went to the animal aid site and all the stuff looks so good...very expensive though, and i'm quite broke now. i'd really like to try the violet creams and the blackcurrant creams.
in washington dc this weekend, i went to the all-vegan bakery Sticky Fingers. I had a piece of chocolate cake and a chocolate-pecan brownie. They were OK, but I can't really recommend the place too much. the taste of the treats and the selection are not impressive. i've been spoiled by Vegan Treats in bethlehem
edit: forgot to say how yummy those cornflake cakes look, linxie and cedar! i'm another lover of chocolate and PB combined

Ate a whole bar of Organica Couverture today. (It's not proper chocolate but i thought i'd lower myself)
Mmmmmmmmm
Has anyone ever had one of the Animal Aid selection boxes? I got sent a catalogue along with their mag and apparently they have big selection boxes which I'm kind of tempted to get as they seem to have a lot of things I haven't seen vegan elsewhere.
yes, don't fight it....give innn.....
i say, give in as well i really want to try the violet creams and also the blackcurrant creams that Gorilla ordered. i have to figure out if they ship to the US and then wait till i'm not so broke.

They say on the site that they do overseas deliveries on everything apart from household cleaners, alcohol and white musk (presumably synthetic) scented stuff. Or you could arrange a swap with someone on here, which might be cheaper postage wise? I'm not sure what their rates are...
ETA - "rest of world = £25" - seems a trifle steep, though I could be reading it wrong. Probably only worth it if you're putting in a huge order. I've heard good things about Rose City vegan chocolate selection. (not trying to do Animal Aid down - if I make an order would anyone be interested in me ordering stuff for them and then doing a swap?)
I've ordered the chocolate hazelnut Chi Cake for my birthday:
http://www.chicake.com/flavours.html
That looks delicious, Roxy.
i like the look of the pumpkin one!....although i know this is a choc thread....
I've tasted all 3 of them before and trust me, they are all divine!
Booja booja hazlenut truffles almost a whole box, i felt inclined (rare occasion indeed) to share a few out.
Got 'em from Animal Aid and arrived today, only £2 a box. Plus loads of yaoh and trek bars (not chocolate!)
You are having a chocolate filled few days.....are you still claiming not to be a chocaholic?
Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
I just post for information purposes only.
what would we do without you....

twinkle, those do look incredibly tasty i'd be happy to do a swap with you (and i'd love to order some for myself too ) i'm just a bit broke at the moment because stipend does not include the summer, but hopefully i'll find a job soon and my budget will be stabilized again. let me know if you'd like to do the swap with me.

Twinkle those Animal Aid or Dr Hadwen Trust selection boxes are DIVINE! I love soft / creme centres so they are my favourite thing. The marzipans are very nice too if you like marzipan - made with different types of nuts.
Dr Hadwen do a Fondants only box which is lovely (the chocs are not the same as the selection box). I was not so keen on their Velvet Moments one as they are all chocolate centres and we could hardly tell the difference between them.
The Dr Hadwen chocolate selection is here:- http://www.crueltyfreeshop.com/cgi-b...0Confectionery

If there was puke smilie I'd use it! I quite like the Couverture bar but can only manage a few squares at a time as I find it quite sickly.
Has anyone tried raw chocolate? Is it good? http://www.rawfood.com/cacao.html I've seen it in healthfood shops but it's quite expensive.
I tried raw chocolate at the Bristol Vegan Fayre a couple of years ago. It was lovely. Try some!
