well, my peanut butter cups arrived. they're very nice, but they're really small. here is a photo to show the scale:
shown next to a 50p, because that's how much they work out costing me each
i was kind of expecting them to me more like the size of the Reece's cups. oh well. i don't think they're worth the money, but worth trying i guess.

Never had peanut butter with chocolate - it's a good combination is it?
I suppose I could experiment at home first. Have been buying peanut butter by the vat because the hedgehogs are so fond of it (see left).
peanut butter with chocolate is lovely i once made chocolate peanut butter rice-crispy bars, but the recipe called for huge amounts of chocolate and peanut butter (i used all organic ingredients too) so it didn't work out any cheaper it was good though!
i didn't know hedgehogs liked peanut butter! they're so cute.

We put out peanut butter with other stuff like muesli and hedgehog food (and sometimes cat food), and they all seem to guzzle the peanut butter first. I suppose it helps them fatten themselves up for the winter...
Must try some chocolate and peanut butter then - I think I was vegan before those Reese's things made it over here.
You could use Cherry's recipe and save yourself some money...
Hmm, I guessed the peanut butter cups on veganstore would be really small. My suspicions were aroused when it didn't have a weight anywhere on the product description. Naughty.

So the peanut butter filling is sweetened is it? Not sure if I fancy that, although Cherry's ones look jolly appetising.
I actually really hate the combination of peanuts (butter) and chocolate - or anything sweet for that matter. Ewww peanut butter and jam sandwiches.... I am not really a fan of peanuts either hahaha
wow they look amazing, might have to make some of them this weekend, does anyone know how many that makes?
Ah come on! Those buttons are just fine! 43p each or something, 25g just like a bag of dairy buttons. They taste a liiitttle fake, but only fake compared to milk choccie! I remember that they sort of taste like advent calendar chocolate, so bring on Christmas!
Also, just on the topic of christmas goodies, Lyons do the BEST vegan-friendly mince pies!
if anyones ever craving peanut butter cups but dont have any, try pouring some vegan chocolate chips in a cup or small bowl, and then put in a tablespoon or more of peanut butter and mix it all around and then eat it with a spoon. it tastes just like peanut butter cups but is much cheaper!
mmm chocolate. my dad always gets me these vegan liquour chocolates that are little bottles of chocolate and filled with alcohol. you eat the top off and then cheers someone and do the shot with them and then finish off eating the rest of the little bottle. yum.

I remember seeing those things at London Drugs! I didn't realise they were vegan. Wahayy!
i didnt either. i was all upset cause i was like damn i cant eat them and then i read the ingredients and they were vegan.

I've eaten the chocolate simnel cake and apple rings from Animal Aid, and th simnel is pretty good, and the apple rings very nice indeed.
I ate an incredible amount of cake over the week-end including chocolate biscuit cake and choc cake iced and un-iced. I seriously need to do some exercise.
I have just discovered a jar of peanut butter with choc spread in the cupboard called dark chocolate dreams and its in date! Think its from that wholefoods market in Kensington?
Must try at some stage but i might not like it as im not keen on peanut butter on toast so not sure what to use it for
Its this one:

I've been eating some rather nice chocolate from Hotel Chocolat. One of which is this.

wow that's expensive, RW!
I think I'm in love with white rice milk chocolate...
That rice milk chocolate is quite addictive. I'm going to pick some up tomorrow. I like the white and the milk.
The plamil milk chocolate is surprisingly pretty good....
I also like their mint chocolate a bit....
I think it's Plamil, not sure what country that's from.
the Organica white chocolate available in the UK won't be produced again until February 2008 due to factory problems.

I've still got several bars of this because I ordered a whole box from a bulk shopping order from the wholesalers!

I found vegan chocolate spread at the grocery store! It's some Israeli brand and it has Hebrew all over it but it does say the ingredients in English. No milk as far as I can tell.
Peace, love, and happiness.
talking about chocolate spreads, did I mention Chocoreale?!
Oh i liked that white choc stuff, funny cos i never liked actualy milk white chocolate.
me neither. But I can chomp on the organica like it's...erm...chocolate!
Hmmn well, but what will you offer me for it? It's a sellers market now!

here you go, tigerlily - http://www.veganessentials.com/catal...te-spreads.htm
beg, borrow or steal to get some.
though I've just realised it has palm fat in it - so I won't be buying it in future.
ETA: blimey $9.95 per jar in the USA!!! I suppose it is imported though. I wonder if I could have a crack at making my own...
Incase anyone else does get one and it comes in one piece (i.e. due to the bendy thin cardboard they've used by some chance all the chocolate hasn't dislodged and accumulated at the bottom) you may want to open the bottom and check anyway - they'd inserted the tray the wrong way round in the one I got, so when you open the doors you can see the chocolate but can't get at it!!
