Laguna Niguel California. Best state in the union, in my honest opinion....Although living in the most superficial part of the world sucks, it's quite vegan friendly....

But if I was to live the rest of my life in the US, I would have to chose Burlington Vermont as my home.

i agree with the part about california i love it! although i hate how its so superficial in many parts. i live in the LA area and like to take the subway around. its funny because it goes from places like North Hollywood, filled with people dressed as movie characters and fancy restaurants, to Venice Beach, full of folkies and street performers. Venice is definitely my favorite place in the world. its a little fakish because its a huge torist spot, but its also great because there are people like Jingles, who runs a "Meat is Murder" stand and always tries his hardest to shock and inform people of the truth.

I just moved back from Warsaw to the States, and am in American Fork, Utah (bleh, feels like I'm the only vegan in the whole state).

I'm in Iowa City right now and I gotta say, compared to all the places I've lived in the past, this seems like Vegan Paradise!

Oh that's cool - my bro teaches at Fort Collins. Do you still have that massive health food supermarket, I think called Alfalfa? It was amazing, huge, and almost scary - as vegans I think we get used to not having much of a choice!

Iowa, home of the best tofu, American Pride brand. I wish Iowa would use more of its soybean harvest for people food such as tofu and edamame, not animal feed.

Black Hawk, CO here! Boulder is very veg friendly, Black Hawk is not (casino patrons are mostly meateaters I guess). Nederland is veg friendly.

There is so much to do here in this beautiful state. You definately can't get bored.

We don't have Alfalfa's anymore (I miss it), it's whole foods now, so it is the same store with higher prices.

ivandurago - you'll have to let us know when you open your restaraunt we'll have to come to the grandopening!!

Oh, I live in NC and not too far from Asheville, though I can't manage to get up there very often (they have an Earth Fare and supposedly have quite a few vegan friendly restaurants).
Yup we have two all vegetarian (with TONS of vegan options) restaurants and even some of the more expensive fine dining places specifically have vegan options

So anyways I live in Asheville and it's my favorite place EVER

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's vegan-friendly but there are very strict alcohol laws here. I happen to love drinking beer. Next year after I graduate from cosmetology school I'm planning on moving to Portland, Oregon which is even more vegan-friendy and much more beer drinker-friendly.

Portland's one of the top places I'd like to visit, and maybe live for a while. Oregon's a romantic fantasy for me, I don't know why, I just really want to go there.

I'm in Worcester, Mass right now going to school.

Audiology. The problem is that Portland U has an audiology program so the students there do their rotations at the hospitals/practices in the area so they are the ones that will get the few jobs that are there.

Actually I think I might like the sun too much to live there. If only I could find a way to just live there in the summer when it's not rainy.

I plan on moving to Portland after I finish college. I used to spend alot of time there when I lived in Seattle, both of those cities are great for vegans although Seattle is alot more expensive.

I am currently living in Austin now and it is another really vegan friendly city, 2 WholeFoods stores, a raw bar, several farmers markets and alot of local restaurants that are vegan friendly, some that are 100% vegan.

I live in northern Kentucky. Not too vegan friendly really. There's a whole foods in Cincinnati, but that's a 40 minute drive for me. :/ I want to move away from here because I grew up here and need a change. San Diego or Austin TX are the 2 places I'm debating!

Very vegan friendly as it's a rather liberal city in a liberal state. I wouldn't know too much though since I cook my own food for the most part and I never really go to the yuppie neighborhoods.

Lived in Texas before going vegan. Don't live there.

Currently, I don't live in a state. I live in Washington, D.C. You're fine here as long as you have plenty of money and don't live in a lower-class neighborhood, which means black..... stores like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Safeway do not cater to poor people, period. Farmers' markets are bloody expensive. Cost me $5 for a one-liter bottle of apple cider.

I live in Bethesda, Maryland. Assuming you can afford it (stuff is pretty expensive out here), it's fairly vegan-friendly. There's a co-op really close, Whole Foods, etc. It's right near DC, so you can pretty find everything you need around here if you have the money. Also, just about everyone at least knows what a vegetarian is (with the occasional obnoxious fish misconception).

Pittsburgh, PA. 5 min from whole foods, Co-Op, great places to eat. We actually have a place that serves a totally vegan Sunday brunch- Pick an entree, and there is an entire vegan buffet that comes with with (breads, salads, about 10 different cakes, etc.) for $10. It is absolutely amazing.

The most unvegan-friendly place in the country...i swear we may be known for our apples but thats just a cover for the hostile lynchings of vegans, vegetarians or anyone who likes to eat healthy for that matter.

But hey if it takes me alone trying to change it to accomplish anything. Then let the lynching begin.

Massachusetts. Pretty good for vegans I think, and an all around nice state. Can be expensive to live here though.
I plan on visiting some places out west, but will probably always end up back in the new england area.
