I have been disappointed to find my organic vegetables go off a lot faster than non organic ones.
I've read that's because the non-organic ones are treated with chemicals that extend their shelf-life. You pays your money and you takes your choice eh?

Also, while it stays looking fresh, it still loses nutrients.
"Danger" could be my middle name … but it's "John"

I would never dream of eating anything mouldy, the slightest sign of mould and it goes in the bin. I try to buy small amounts and when I buy fresh stuff it will get eaten within 2 days of buying so it doesn't get a chance to become mouldy.

Bread would be thrown out straight away. To avoid it, when I lived alone I would buy bread, make up little packs of 2 and 4 slices of bread and then freeze them. The night before I would take out a pack to defrost overnight and in the morning I would have bread for sandwiches or whatever.

I get food poisoning really easily, so now I have to be that careful. I think the amount of time meat takles to digest was disguising my problem.
What do vegans gets food poisoning from?
it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble

Bread in England goes mouldy after a few days. Maybe it's sabotaged to make you buy more bread?
I think it has to do with climate. It is humid in England, yes?

I think in my case it's mostly from cross contamination and bad hygiene. When I prepare my own food I'm fine, but when I eat food mad by people who have poor standards of hygiene in the kitchen I can get ill. Usually it's simple stuff like handling dogs and eggs and then not washing their hands at all before preparing the food I'm going to eat.
