It used to be that drugs were intended just to treat bonafide diseases -- things like malaria or infections -- but now the drug companies have realized that it's a much more profitable venture to invent diseases, and then sell drugs to treat them.

Eve, that was one of the best articles I've read. What was particularly disturbing in the article, though I knew it, was the fact that our tax dollars go to fund vivisection, disgusting! The underlying theme of the article was a good one, the fact that you are only masking problems by taking drugs and that you should focus on healthy eating and exercise.

Recently I was given a heavy narcotic by my doctor and decided against filling the script because of the side effects and the fact that I would be giving money to companies that test on animals. Although I'm in a little pain I've decided I will not give money to support vivisection.
